I wish Tusli Gabbard would gain a little more traction. She's great on foreign policy. The left seems more war mongering than the right nowadays though.

You can talk about the trees if you want to. Plenty of other threads about the trees. I'm looking at the forest.
Personally I am undecided in the Democratic primary. Biden, Beto, Hickenlooper, Kamala, and Warren are still options for me.

Personally I think Biden will win. Bernie and Warren will split the far left which means Biden will win Iowa and New Hampshire. By then Buttigieg will drop out, and his support will flow primarily to Biden because of momentum. Kamala will be next shoe to drop, her supporters I think would disperse equally over the 3 remaining candidates. Biden still keeps the momentum into super Tuesday, where he finishes off the primary.

Stacey Abrams or Beto will be his VP. Abrams brings progressive cred to the campaign.

Realistically, the Democratic race is a 4 way race. Beto is done. Buttigieg is raising a lot of money but stuck at 7-8% in the polls. Right now the race is Biden/Warren/Harris/Bernie. Ima be straight up right now. If the election were held today and the Dem candidate was anyone but Biden among those 4,I would sit this one out. I cannot support Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders. Kamala Harris was my 2nd choice but she took herself off my list last month. Not sure there is anything she can do to get back on it.

Republicans threw away their purity test in 2016. Some resisted for awhile after the election and some hesitantly let go of it before the election, but Republicans and conservatives are mostly on board now. The pastors at the church I attend are solidly in Trump's corner. The folks who voted for Trump in 2016 are still on board and will be there in November next year. The only question is how many more he can pick up. I would add that the signal sent from Florida in November last year is a very good sign for Republicans.

My party has responded, apparently, by making it's purity test harder to pass and I can hardly bear watching it right now. Also, apparently, older white and maybe older black moderate/conservative Democrats who have voted in every election since they turned 18, like myself, don't pass the test. I don't just hang out in PJ. I hang out in a couple other mostly left-leaning sites. There the progressive left complains of Biden not exciting "the base". The progressive left has proclaimed itself to be "the base" and the rest of us should just get in line. I got news for 'em. They have a voice and a vote but they don't have the final say for the rest of us. There is a big generational divide in the Democratic electorate and the current signs point to the next election ripping it apart. We could see the return of "Reagan Democrats" as "Trump Democrats" especially if the economy keeps rolling along. Ima be straight up about another thing. Ima 'bout out of give a f**ks too.

There! I've said it. Sorry for the long post. I normally don't do this.

You're welcome Republicans. After the last election, I "got over it" quick. I ate my crow, congratulated the folks on the right and moved on. Won't be hard to do it again if need be.
By process of elimination, I think it's going to be Kamela Harris.

Biden: It makes no sense that he'd be anyone's second choice when the rest of the top leaders now are all Bernie socialists. If he were going to win, he'd have to be about 40% or more now, not in the 20s. The Democrats also want someone angry and vitroiolic. Not sleepy

Sanders: He doesn't stand out anymore. The rest are as Marxist as he is now. The only way he wins is if he somehow pravails in domino math as the others drop.

Warren: She's walking dead. The Pocahontas thing was her own doing and while Democrats may not want to throw her under the bus, they will throw her under the bus. She's also a phony as her "I'm going to have me a beer" video where she couldn't get her husband to drink a beer with her

Bottigeg: He's over his head

Why would a Bernie, Warren or Harris supporter ever go to Biden if their candidate dropped out?

Agreed. The rest are there to line their pockets.

Harris can play the race card (even though shes not black) until the cows come home.

And she can play the victim woman card- even though she slept her way to the top.

But, she's too out of touch with reality. And would lose 40 states easily.

Incrementalism.
Anyone but Trump.
Swish.

They support a moon bat leftist now (Warren, Harris or Sanders). Your argument is that when their moon bat loses, oh well. Now I'm going for the sleepy guy and skipping the other moon bats. One moon bat is enough for me!

Sure they would.

My whole point is if that's what they wanted, they'd be supporting Biden now and they aren't

Yep. She's the identity politics winner. Last time (2008) it was black > woman. Now they have a black woman. No, it doesn't matter that she isn't, she is as you said.

There is no way for Democrats to pick a candidate on policy since they agree on every issue and are just all chasing each other to the left, so it's identity. White guy, gay white guy, white woman, white guy or black woman?

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! Black woman!

Swish.

OK, since it went over your head, let me dumb it down for you.

Why would an active socialist pass on another active socialist and pick a passive socialist?

Seriously. They support a moon bat leftist now (Warren, Harris or Sanders).

My argument is the super-progressive vote will be split betwixt Bernie and Warren and some will vote for Kamala. All three of them will be splitting the left-wing of the democratic party come Super Tuesday and beyond. Biden has a clear advantage over a divided field.

Right. You still don't understand the question.

Biden is below 30%. When candidates drop out, their supporters will go to other candidates. You realize that means that people will have to go to Biden when their candidates drop out, not just each other? No?

Who is Biden going to pick up votes from when the moon bats start dropping out?

Why wouldn't a moon bat supporter go to another moon bat? Of course they would.

You really don't follow any of this, do you? Here's a ball, look, it's bouncy

Biden, Warren, Sanders, and Harris are in for the long haul.
Buttigieg/Beto aren't the most of left-candidates in the field and I would think a majority move to Biden when Biden becomes the momentum candidate after a few wins.
Booker's probably throws his supports behind Kamala.
Castro probably throws in for Biden in exchange for a cabinent position
Hickenlooper probably supports Biden
Inslee/Yang/Klobouchar- Idk.

So based on your theory that every supporter of every candidate not named Harris, Sanders or Warren will go to Biden (highly doubtful), then that gets Biden to about 37%.

And Buttigeg and Beto aren't that far left????? OMG, how left are you????? Can you even stand up without tipping over?
