I understand the need for reparations and have called on the party of slavery, the Democrats, to make those reparations.

If anyone makes reparations, it should be the Democrats doing it.
And they won't admit to being Democrats if it becomes inconvenient to do so.

Slave owners stole the labor of their slaves. They owed them a wage. Instead they passed that wealth on to their descendants. It is still immoral for their descendants to possess it. It is still stolen property.
