No he functions at the behest of the law. You seem to think he is the law.
If I thought he IS the law, then I wouldn't be arguing that it's the SCOTUS who determines the legitimacy of Trumps claims of executive privilege. YOU think that the house can dictate what the president does, and that's completely wrong.

That is an utterly ridiculous conclusion. The president does not function at the behest of the house.
Of course he doesn’t. Congress and the president are co-equal branches. At least that’s the framework in the Constitution. In this regard, congressional oversight of the executive branch is equally established, and this is especially true in the case of the impeachment power set forth in the Constitution.

In this regard, and all others, Trump pisses on the Constitution. He unilaterally declared the impeachment inquiry “illegitimate” and ordered all his people to defy all impeachment-related subpoenas. In doing so he claimed his administration is “absolutely immune” from such congressional oversight, a frivolous claim that the courts have already ridiculed and dismissed.

Yet the obstruction and cover-up continue unabated, aided and abetted by Trump’s GOP co-conspirators in the Senate. Absolute lawlessness.

Trump did not even invoke executive privilege. You should turn off Fox Noise.

It's called executive privilege and every single president has used it. It's just "bad" now that it's Trump.

Is "gaslighted" the new word they put on your DNC issued "word of the day" calendar? You seem to be practicing with it a lot, but it doesn't mean what you think it means.
Sure it does. Trump and his assistant liars turn reality upside down with their lying, and you come to believe them. You’re either gaslighted or you know they’re lying. Which is it?

You should inform yourself better. Trump did claim it and currently it is in court awaiting a ruling.
Here’s the letter from Trump’s lawyer advising Congress that Trump and his administration will defy all impeachment inquiry subpoenas. Read it. It does not invoke executive privilege. The letter just whines about process and repeats Trump’s favorite lies...

gaslighting noun
Gaslighting is a term, often used by mental health professionals (I am not one), to describe manipulative behavior used to confuse people into thinking their reactions are so far off base that they're crazy.

The only one who is crazy here is you. :)

And it's currently awaiting ruling in the court

One more time. In regards to impeachment he did not make a claim of executive privilege. In fact he took no part in it at all.

The Congress has oversight duties in regards to the Executive Branch. So yes, when they issue subpoenas and request testimony he is supposed to comply unless it threatens national security.

He most certainly did, and now the courts are ruling on it. Democrats couldn't wait though, and now they are whining about a "fair trial" in the senate. :)

And no, he doesn't "have" to comply. These are co-equal branches. The house doesn't rule the president.

A) He did not invoke executive privilege.

B) America has been there done that. This pig won't fly

There are no witnesses because no crime was committed. The exact transcript of that phone call was released and NO crimes were indicated. The people who testified gave OPINIONS and generally committed perjury.

Those are the facts edited
Link to the exact transcript being released?

Trump is invoking executive privilege without invoking it?

That was pretty funny.

Anyway, I rest my case. He has not invoked it.

Either you’re gullible enough to believe the GOP lies to the contrary, or you know they’re lying. Which is it?
