The current Federal Income Tax Rates are 10% up to $8700 in taxable income; 15% up to $35,350 in taxable income, 25% up to $85,650 in taxable income, 28% up to 178,680 in taxable income; 33% up to 388,350 in taxable income, and 35% over $388,350 in taxable income .
I propose that the House Republicans pass a bill leaving the 10%, the 33% and the 35% rates as is, while LOWERING the 15% rate down to 10%, the 25% rate down to 20% and the 28% rate down to 23%.
Then everyone with a taxable income level from $35,000 to 178,680 would receive a tax cut.
The Democrats will never go for it, and we will go over the fiscal cliff, and the Republicans can rightfully say that the Democrats voted to increase taxes on the middle class and point out that the average family would have saved 5,000 dollars a year that is now being taken from theie pockets and being put in Obama's Pelosi's and Reid's pockets.
