If we had an actual MSM that was worth anything they would be asking all of these Dem candidates for President, particularly Warren and Sanders about Venezuela at every campaign stop.

Bernie ran around for years claiming that the "American Dream is now more easily pursued in Venezuela then in America"

That complete sack of crap is pretty silent about it these days as are the Left posters on this board.

Now it's Anyone Against Trump is Evil (and to think she had an avatar of Trump and the words BIG MOUTH (or something like that) across it. Now, she's as smitten as @Jen of their orange Messiah. I guess since he's not black, they don't have to feel bad about defending him 24/7.

Venezuela is not socialist. Ocasio-Cortez’s program is not socialist. “Give the capitalist government more power and they will take care of you” is not socialism, and anyone who pretends it is wants to take advantage of you whether they are for it or against it.

Socialism means workers rising up against billionaire rule and taking political power into their own hands so they can defend their own economic interests.

Yup, not doing socialism at all is not getting it right.

Cuba did not do everything right ... only utopias do that ... but they sure did a lot more things right than when they were pursuing their failed capitalist experiment.

My younger brother worked for the West German government. After the wall was taken down he was assigned to East Germany to teach the people there about their rights as a free people. He lived there for a while, couldn’t wait to get back to the West.

Want to know why? East Germany was disgusting, dirty, and falling apart. Hopeless. No one did anything, there was no incentive since there was no reward of any kind.

Everyone was the same. Work hard, work little, don’t work at all... same result. Dead flies sticking to meat in butcher shops while employees stood around doing nothing, for instance... filth and decay everywhere... no thank you.

Human beings NEED incentive.

And the only incentive you can imagine is compulsion. I was just reading about other guys who didn’t like it on E. Germany. They explained that although they were some of the highest-paid people in the country, they didn’t get enough more than anyone else to enable them to use their money to get women. “You had to be interesting.”
