If you HATE real hard, squeeze your eyes shut tight and WISH with all your might, maybe you can make that smart, strong, attractive liberal AOC disappear.

LOL
Disappear? We want AOC to have a stronger role and presence in the communist er DemocRAT party. Poor Julie.... Clueless as ever.

in virtually all instances (with very few exceptions) if you are poor at age 35 its is YOUR fault and YOUR fault alone as your station is the direct result of the choices you made

I pointed out a post that told a lie...that is hardly "obfuscating" anything.
It wasn't so much a "lie" as it was a "misstatement." Bernie endorsed the sentiment but didn't actually "quote" the guy. Bernie has, on various occasions, praised the Soviets, Cuba and Venezuela. The idea that you "refuted" the point that Bernie at one point thought what was happening in Venezuela was hunky dory is, for all intents and purposes, a "lie" as well.

This was the post:
Bernie ran around for years claiming that the "American Dream is now more easily pursued in Venezuela then in America"

That was untrue.

Sure thing...not illness, handicaps, economic recessions or depressions, accidents, plague, drought...

Are you rich? Why not?
you seemed to have missed the part where I said with very few exceptions, that being said being affected by "illness, handicaps, economic recessions or depressions, accidents, plague, drought..." are almost always the result of choices by the individual. choosing lifestyle that makes one prone to illness, choosing to have a condition and treat it as a handicap, choosing to live check to check and the like. Thank you for re-enforcing my point

depending upon ones definition yes. I was however born dirt floor poor
My grandparents had a very large farm near Dayton Ohio in 1929. After a couple of years of drought they lost the farm...I guess they chose the wrong years to be trying to produce a crop.

By 1933 25% unemployment and about 1/3rd of all banks having failed (taking people's deposits with them) they were poor.

My wife was diagnosed in 2003 with Cystic Fibrosis. Bad choice on her part. Aetna tried to say that was a pre-existing condition and dropped us. She had one medication that was $400 per day. If not for the company legal I'd have lost everything I'd saved.

Bottom line...you don't know wtf you are talking about.

Bernie ran around for years BELIEVING that the "American Dream is now more easily pursued in Venezuela then in America"

That is, in fact, true.

That is, in fact, what you think is true.
So when he linked to that sentiment on his web site, he was either too stupid to know what the writer meant, or too stupid to know how to link to something that he actually did believe. Which do you suppose it was?
