The Supreme Court on Tuesday handed the Trump administration a victory in its battle to clamp down on illegal immigration by making it easier to detain immigrants with criminal records.

The ruling that federal immigration authorities can detain immigrants awaiting deportation anytime after they have been released from prison on criminal charges represents a victory for President Trump.

In the case before the justices, a group of mostly green card holders argued that unless immigrants were picked up immediately after finishing their prison sentence, they should get a hearing to argue for their release while deportation proceedings go forward. But in the 5-4 decision on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled against them, deciding that federal immigration officials can detain undocumented immigrants at any time after their release from local or state custody. The court also ruled the government maintains broad discretion to decide who would represent a danger to the community in deciding who to release or detain.

And this is why the con justices once again fucked up just as they have so many times in the past:

"Preap won in lower courts, and the government was ordered to provide him and other class members a bond hearing. Preap has since won his deportation case"

No, I understand the point quite well.

Of course you would ignore the consequences of such a ruling on the immigrant which was your purpose. First your article says:

"The Supreme Court on Tuesday handed the Trump administration a victory in its battle to clamp down on illegal immigrationhttp://www.foxnews.com/opinion/border-patrol-union-leader-trump-is-right-congress-is-wrong-national-emergency-on-border-is-realhttp://www.foxnews.com/opinion/border-patrol-union-leader-trump-is-right-congress-is-wrong-national-emergency-on-border-is-real by making it easier to detain immigrants with criminal records."

Then it says:

"In the case before the justices, a group of mostly green card holders"

Hate to tell a fool like you this, but green card holders are not ILLEGAL even though your gawd Trump tries to make them so.

This is why they now want to stack the supreme court, change the Senate, change the Electoral College etc. Anything that prevents our lovely Liberal Fascists from getting exactly what they want must be changed.

you're a little thick, so I'll speak slowly for you...

Read this...

...the Supreme Court ruled against them, deciding that federal immigration officials can detain undocumented immigrants at any time after their release from local or state custody...

That case was the impetus for the SCOTUS decision to allow the feds to detain undocumented immigrants. That decision does not apply to the green card holders, only the NON-green card holders in the group.

It's sad you're apparently too fvcking stupid to understand that SCOTUS decisions do not always apply to EVERYONE involved in a case.

Problem is dumb ass, and you obviously did not read the case, Prean was one of those who brought the case forward, and the vast majority of the Plaintiffs were green card holders.

The feds already had the authority to hold undocumented criminal aliens, or did you miss that part of the case? The ONLY question to be decided was how long after the release could they exercise that authority

You're not just thick you're plumb stupid.

And as I explained, the decision of the SCOTUS did NOT apply to them.

I don't think you even understand what you're bitching and moaning about. The group you're saying should NOT have been affected, was NOT affected.

Even a fool, or one with an ego the size of Trump, needs to be salved once in a while:

Then why the lawsuit? Seems to me the victory was more for Prean then the Trumpites.

Trump did not BRING the lawsuit, dumbass... the PLAINTIFFs did.

The case before the justices involved a class-action lawsuit brought by non-citizens in California and a similar class-action lawsuit brought in the state of Washington. One of the lead plaintiffs, Mony Preap, has been a lawful permanent resident of the United States since 1981 and has two convictions for possession of marijuana. He was released from prison in 2006 but was not taken into immigration custody until 2013.

They fought, the court sided mostly with the Trump administration, as it pertains to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, Since Mony Preap was a green card holder, it did not affect him.

Holy shit, you are fvcking thick.

I recognize how f**king dumb you right wingers are, however, the case was brought forth in the NINTH DISTRICT Court where the court sided with Preap, & co. Nielsen then appealed to SCOTUS (do you know who that is you [Unwelcome language removed] idiot), and now the case is known as Nielsen v Preap. Now, who is listed first in a court case dumbass? THE PLAINTIFF, and it is not Preap.

The judgments of the Court of Appeals for the Ninth
Circuit are reversed, and the cases are remanded for
further proceedings.

Deal with it, fvckwad.

One has to laugh at fools like you stumbling along in your own spittle. First you claimed it was a victory for the Trump administration, then you say the Trump administration did not bring it forward, and now you have this.

Fact reamains asshat that Preap is still here in this country, and so will many other brown skinned immigrants in spite of the right wings attempts to stop it.
