Sweden's death rate from COVID-19 surpasses USA

That is a false equivalency. It only has to exceed the number "saved" by "locking down" the economy, which may in fact (in the long run) be zero.
But according to epidemiologists will number in the hundreds of thousands, probably the millions.

BTW Russia was deeply in debt in 1917, and China was deeply in debt in 1949, yet due to the socialist revolutions in those countries, not only were the most severe crises averted, but life expectancy skyrocketed.

Then reconcile the difference between the US death rate and Sweden's and make it come out to 2 million...go!
Sweden’s hospital system has not been overwhelmed despite the loose restrictions on social interaction. The U.S.’s hospital system has been overwhelmed in hot spots despite tighter restrictions on social interaction. The results of adopting Sweden’s approach in a country with far less capacity to handle a surge of ICU cases would be far more deaths.

How were 2 million Saved...……..you posted America can't open without a Vaccine......no vaccine save 2 million
2 million lives are being saved by massive social distancing efforts. If you let up on social distancing efforts before a functioning vaccine you just delay the 2 million or so deaths.

Did you circle the expendable age groups?
1) Am I an abortionist?

2) Are you?

3) Do you see what the real natural consequence of a death culture yields now? It is why abortion has lead to shootings in say Chicago. A devaluation of life. It is what abortionists wrought. Hear the truth.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
Wait so now it's not direct misery and suffering that will lead to directly to deaths, but a tangential decline in life expectancy years and decades into the future.

And that has to be weighed against the near immediate guaranteed wave of deaths that will come directly from throwing our collective hands in the air and just winging it without a plan on this current and still growing pandemic.

And you say the scales should tilt towards immediate deaths due to the lack of planning.

Wow...
The people who are dying of Covid-19 are almost exclusively those who already have one foot in the grave, and many "Covid-19" deaths are arguably deaths from other factors that get coded as Covid-19 simply because they have the virus when they die. So you are willing to trade the days weeks and months of life for some people today for the days weeks and months of life for others down the road? Seems like a pretty stupid way to spend $10 trillion.

So if someone is somehow weaker in some aspect then depriving them of life is less wrong ?

Oh so you are saying that Covid-19 itself can't be trusted with any certainty as the cause of deaths during a pandemic of the disease. BUT, the public response to the spread of Covid-19 can for sure be pegged as the cause of deaths many years from now. Did you seriously keep a straight face when you wrote that ?

You put a man with stupid ideas in charge of the country. He wasted time and money wishful thinking and outright dishonesty. How did you think he wouldn't would waste $10 trillion in spending in a pretty stupid way.

Many of those who die could have lived years or decades otherwise. We are talking about otherwise healthy 65-year-olds with high blood pressure and no other pre-existing conditions.

The healthy elderly are not dying from Covid-19 (unless it is from malpractice). It's the ones in the nursing and personal care homes, who do not have "decades" of life to look forward to, and speaking as someone who worked for a decade in that industry, if they do have that long to live, they aren't looking forward to it.

My brother in law just told me about a 96 year old who lives in his mother in law's nursing home who came down with it, after five days of waiting for the test to confirm it, went to the hospital and was immediately placed on hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. She is doing just fine now. Seriously, I know you guys have to defend the fascist response to this disease, but the more data we accumulate the more it appears I was correct (again) from the get go on this and you people (as usual) were wrong.

A 65-year-old with high blood pressure and no other chronic condition has a 1 in 3 chance of dying from Covid. A 65-year-old with diabetes and no other chronic condition has nearly a 1 in 2 chance of dying.

Like I said - from malpractice. Like a doctor who thinks hydroxychloroquine is snake oil because Trump mentioned it.
