Argumentation sometimes leads to truth.. turns out that the US...US agencies and the CDC were in the fight against covid much earlier that the crazed would have us all believe. as early as Jan 6 the US agencies were trying to keep it over there... Canada too.. Offering expert help to China, and aid. Much much earlier that som would have you believe.

Sadly, that didnt wrk, but at least we all dont have to fight over the timing of US action anymore. Sigh.
The fight to keep America prepared for this pandemic was being fought even earlier than that.

You can start at 4:40 to see the "crazed" senator make that very point.

Winston

Do you feel lucky, Punk
Not here, heh Winnie the COVID-19 is a hoax foist wespondow?
Covid-19 is not the biotoxin that escaped...………… The unnamed toxin is always fatal

Or are you claiming that this is the first documented time in American history that the government told the public the full truth

And do you believe everything that you see and hear on TV

LOL

What if we'd immediately begun to quarantine anyone entering the country with a passport stamped from China in the last 30 days, back in January?
January 30, 2020 - The United States reports its first confirmed case of person-to-person transmission of the Wuhan coronavirus. On the same day, the WHO determines that the outbreak constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).

January 31, 2020 - The Donald Trump administration announces it will deny entry to foreign nationals who have traveled in China in the last 14 days.

And he caught hell for it from Biden, Sanders and others.

“This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia, hysterical xenophobia, to uh, and fear mongering,Biden continued.

Bret Baier: If you had to, would you close down the borders?

Bernie Sanders: No. What you don’t want to do right now when you have a president who has propagated xenophobic, anti-immigrant sentiment from before he was elected.

But let’s not go back to the same old thing. Isn’t it interesting that a president who has been demagoguing and demonizing immigrants, the first thing that he can think about is closing down the border.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn, you can't hang Winnie, and you're no first responder unless you mean to my posts.

Your political class withheld from the public what was coming so they could alert the donor class and the substantial people could get their insider trading in order and sodomize the 401K working and underclasses yet again.

Your consumption of corporate state media is on no way indicative of that of others. Me thinketh thou doth protest too much.

Would you ever care to cite where your fiction comes from? Have you ever seen a death curve as a result of a hoax like this one?

Who's catching the hell now? No one that matters to anyone apparently. For the economy, amen. Just like our aristocracy hid it from the public while they raped the 401K middle and underclasses once again, only to reward themselves with another socialist bailout for the facilitators.

odd. i provide verbatim what was said. seems plainly evident he acknowledged both sets,, yet tried to distinguish US from ex-US cases. and that we are taking care of both sets.

anyway. shouldnt you, or maybe a designee...be attacking him for letting those 42 back in. i mean, i'm slow to learn...but it does seem to me that that would be an appropriate next step in the process of assessing blame for all things.....
What do you disagree with me on? That he mentioned 15 patients a total of 4 time and the others once?

The fact is that far more than just those 42 returned to the US. How do you think the outbreak in Washington state began?

I'm blaming Trump for attempting to minimize the danger and that was solely because of his fear of a political price to be paid if people knew the truth. He has clearly and publicly disagreed with his own experts. He should have shut the f*ck up and let others who know far more than he does handle talking to the press. Didn't you cringe just a little when he claimed he knew so much about it that maybe he should have been a doctor?

So only foreign nationals are a problem, right?

From the article in relationship to my post:

The Biden campaign also pointed to news reports in 2018 that the administration wouldn’t renew expiring funding for the Global Health Security Agenda, a program in which the CDC works with other countries “to strengthen public health systems and reduce the risk of infectious disease outbreaks.” Most of that program’s funding was a one-time, five-year appropriation that was expected to run out at the end of September 2019. But we haven’t been able to confirm to what extent the CDC ended up cutting back on the program. We’ll update this story when we have more information.

And here

The next day in a CNN town hall he mentioned it again, saying, “Number one, he fired the pandemic team two years ago.”

Biden also noted it in a CNN town hall event that aired two hours after Bloomberg’s, and in an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” on March 1, he said, “[W]e set up an entire mechanism as to how to deal with future outbreaks of pandemic diseases. They [Trump administration officials] eliminated that office when they came in play.”

The Trump administration did indeed eliminate a key position that would have been involved in pandemic response.

...
But the lack of someone in the White House to coordinate the response to a widespread disease outbreak in the U.S. is something numerous experts and groups at the time had cautioned against.

In a November 2019 report, the Center for Strategic & International Studies recommended restoring the global health security position on the NSC as one of seven key changes to better protect the American public from global health threats.

“It remains unclear who would be in charge at the White House in the case of a grave pandemic threat or cross-border biological crisis,” the report reads, noting that such leadership is “critical in navigating challenging political issues like quarantines and travel bans and in communicating to and reassuring the American public.”

“The authorities currently in place at HHS are insufficient to address these critical, complex, and often urgent interagency demands,” the report continues. “In addition to coordinating the interagency process, a global health security and biodefense directorate at the NSC can reform fragmented programs and ensure higher efficiencies, strengthened accountability, and better spending of scarce resources.”

We reached out to the White House press office, but we haven’t received any information on the NSC staffing.

So not only is this is a pretty incomplete fact check, it also points to the things about pandemic response being very much true.

Plus it refutes none of what Brown said in the video.

I am just pointing out the demand for preparedness was in force long before this virus came along. The problem is it fell on deaf ears.
