The budgetary habits of a fiscally responible America

The Democrats would have you believe that raising taxes is the key to fiscal responsibility and it could be..lets review what that means.

1. Raising your taxes...Why? because these Millionaire Democrats can afford to pay more, what they dont tell you is that the Obama tax plan taxes new growth , but doesnt effect those who have already made their money. so this owrrks out how?

a: taxes are raised, but democrats wont cut spending except for Defense(leaving us Defenseless in a world that doesnt always like us, and if your a democratic you understand...you dont like us,,we are not Europe)...so if we cut defense completely this does?

We raise 2.1 trillion per year we spend an average 3.7 trillion military spending is 637 billion..... that leaves us with 3.1 trillion....

Now that still leaves us with 1 trillion in debt ...so what next Fireman, Police, and school teachers? So what does lefty do...raise taxes...do you realy have the money...no when opushed on the issue they balk and claim to only tax the wealthy but it is not going to work...that kills new and new companies jobs in the long run. So how much more are you prepared to spend intaxes for Obama?

The point here is obvious. If you're serious about getting our budget in order, you should favor spending cuts, since that's the consistent path towards success, among our international peers. If, instead, you focus on social spending , while you favor raisng tax rates, just admit that your fretting about debt is a sham

We know how we got the deficit we got.

Bush's reckless 2001 and 2003 tax cuts drove the US deep in debt. His war was borrowed with no hint of how to pay it back.

The GOP deregulated us to suit their clients on Wall Street and delivered a crash.

Cutting spending has nothing to do with any of that.

Bush's 2001 tax cuts were reckless and irresponsible. They produced practically no economic effect other than accelerating the tread toward gaping income inequality.

And all of the economists who criticized Bush' tax cuts in 2001 were very quickly vindicated.

No one under the age of 40 has lived in a time when the GOP ever did anything for fiscal responsibility, Rather, we've had two long periods of borrow and spend.

Romney is going to do the same thing. That's his plan. You can tell it because he's being very specific about his tax cut, and not saying anything at all about how to pay for it.

Ronald Reagan played that game in 1980, and George W Bush reran it in 2000.

Only a real fool falls for the same scam three times in a row!

A bet, Drum...if Mitt Romney is elected this November....your concern over spending, deficits, and debt ...disappears.
