The Dem House wastes time trying to get Trump to follow the law. Just impeach him already.

Enough already with the House asking Trump’s toadies to testify, sending them subpoenas, etc.

Trump has made it quite clear that he has no intention to follow the law. He will just continue to obstruct justice, and direct all his people to ignore subpoenas.

So, the Dem House has a choice - play Trump’s game of tying things up in court cases seeking to get Trump to follow the law, or just impeach his fat ass.

The House should just draft articles of impeachment and vote on them. They should announce that the allegations will be accepted as true unless Trump testifies under oath to refute them. Trump, of course, would never testify under oath, so the allegations would be accepted as true.

What allegations? Let’s start with this list...

1. The instances of obstruction of justice laid out in the Mueller report, and Trump’s additional obstruction preventing Congress from speaking to Trump’s toadies about the Mueller report findings.
2. Trump’s Ukraine outrages.
3. More obstruction of justice charges based upon Trump’s efforts to cover up the Ukraine events, and now his latest obstruction preventing Congress from further investigating those events.

Just forget about trying to get Trump to follow the law. It’s pointless. He’s lawless. Draft the articles of impeachment - dozens of them - take a vote, and impeach him. Off to the Senate it then goes for trial. Most GOP senators will likely then fully enable Trump’s crimes. So be it. The voters will judge them accordingly.

Let’s get on with it.

There is no formal inquiry, therefore Trump is not obligated to perform in this dog and pony show.

You got that right.

http://rockrivertimes.com/2019/10/04/trump-wont-cooperate-with-impeachment-probe-without-house-vote/

Pelosi has sought to avoid a vote on the impeachment probe for the same reason she resisted, for months, liberal calls to try to remove the president: It would force moderate House Democrats to make a politically risky vote.

The White House, meanwhile, is trying to force the question on Democrats, as it seeks to raise the political cost for their impeachment investigation and to animate the president’s supporters ahead of the 2020 election.

Trump allies have suggested that without a formal vote, the House is merely conducting standard oversight, entitling lawmakers to a lesser level of disclosure from the administration. The Justice Department raised similar arguments last month, though that was before Pelosi announced the impeachment investigation.

yes, yes, he is. you have no clue about what the constitution says about the House and its power to impeach, much like trump does not. and trump actually believes a member of the House can be impeached!! see how stupid he is?

here ya go, some fact to go with your right wing spew-

Section 4.
The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

the exact manner in which the House impeaches the President is not defined in the Constitution. but generally, this is the procedure- but there is no limit to how the House decides when and how to call for the vote.
  • First, an impeachment resolution must be introduced by a member of the House of Representatives.
  • The speaker of the House must then direct the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary (or a special committee) to hold a hearing on the resolution to decide whether to put the measure to a vote by the full chamber and when to hold such a vote.
  • A simple majority of the Judiciary Committee must approve the resolution.
  • If the Judiciary Committee approves the resolution, it moves to a full vote on the House floor.
  • If a simple majority of the those present and voting in the House approve an article of impeachment, then the president is impeached.
  • The procedure then moves to the Senate where a “trial” is held to determine if the president committed a crime. There is no set procedure for the trial. How it is conducted would be set by the Senate leadership.

Of course he’s not obligated to participate.

But he should be given the chance to testify, under oath, to refute any of the impeachment articles summarized in my post. He won’t, and he blocks his toadies from testifying, so the charges must be accepted as true.

The House then impeaches his ass and it’s put to the GOP senators to see if they will put nation before party, and then face election consequences accordingly.

If the Democrat House really wanted to root out lawbreaking, it would impeach itself.

As long as this drags on, and as new revelations come forward during the investigation, they won't be able to get their footing because they know the mentally stable genius himself could blindside them with a single tweet at any second.

So I say let the GOP senators squirm, wriggle and wince in every interview about every single criminal act Trump engages in while the inquiry continues. In the meantime their responses will make great fodder for their opponent's campaign commercials in 2020.

Impeachment momentum will never be higher. Trump’s strategy, as always, is to act in a completely lawless fashion, bogging things down in the courts, while he tweets new lies and madness every day trying to change the subject.

I say impeach the swine ASAP.

The vote is already in her pocket. She can hold it anytime. But as things start to look even worse, it likely that she will shake loose some GOP votes in the House as well. Which means that maybe some GOP senators will be emboldened to have the courage to do the right thing when the time comes.

First of all, there is no legal requirement for the President or the entire Executive Branch to answer even ONE letter to appear. There has not been a formal House vote on an impeachment inquiry, which is probably why there hasn't been any SUBPOENAS to appear, but mere letters. And the President is not going to allow the Executive branch to be bullied by a bunch of Nazis.

Secondly, only a total fcking MORON would think for one second that the House of Nazis wouldn't already have filed ALL articles of impeachment if there had been ONE SCINTILLA proof of wrongdoing in the multi million dollar Mueller witch hunt, WHICH PRODUCED FCKING NOTHING.

Third, only a fcking MORON would see ANY illegality or even wrongdoing in the transcript of the phone call to the president of Ukraine.

Hillary lost. Get over it, snowflake.

for hopefully the last time, nazis were right wing. racist, bigoted, white nationalists claiming they were sent by God to cleanse the world and make it safe for white folks of pure Aryan blood. democrats are the opposite. right wingers, trump voters, KKK, the GOP come way closer to being nazis than democrats, who are the opposite.

secondly, the Constitution gives the authority to the House, and the House only, to impeach. It does not lay out how the House does it. If they are preparing to impeach, and need documents to decide to go forward or not, the president is obstructing justice if he stands in their way and might have that added to his list of crimes and misdemeanors. he sucks, he is a corrupt piece of shit, and incompetent, to boot, if I had boots on.

Patience. I want Republican senators to realize this is their best chance to dump Trump and save their party. Trump manages to "impeach himself" aka fvck himself daily so let's wait for him to do more to outrage the public so we have a super-majority of Americans with us.

I believed the Dems should impeach from the get-go...to defend and protect our Constitution, but now I want to be certain it leads to Trump being thrown out of the WH or resigning.

Correct. Which is why this is NOT a House inquiry It's a democrat Inquiry.

Pelosi is not the House- the Majority is NOT either.
Until they have a Vote, it is NOT a House Inquiry.

"Sympathetic figure" to his base only. His disapproval rating still is higher than his approval rating, so apparently your view isn't quite right on this.

I also love how you call them a "bunch of entitled white fart leftists", yet your avatar is a young, female minority in the House. Guess that's really all we need to see of this post. : )
