The Highest Taxes in the World

Hey Sarge....any idea how much dough it takes to be the only cop on the planet? All the rest of those nations just spend their money on themselves making a great way of life for each other in the mean time. We have to pay for guys like you to run around the world trying to get everyone to adopt Democracy, Jesus and the Shock Doctrine. Guys like you and your toys are not cheap.

and as so much corporate income earned by american corporations is sheltered in offshore tax havens, this number means nothing.

U.S. Companies Pay World’s Sixth-Highest Tax Rate, Study Finds

As of yesterday, the U.S. corporate tax rate of 39.2 percent claimed the world’s top spot, edging out Japan which recently lowered its rate from 39.5 percent to 36.8 percent. (The U.S. rate includes the 35 percent federal rate plus the average rate the states add on.) That’s well above the 25 percent average of other developed nations.

Marginal and effective tax rates are two different things.
Your claims are bogus Heritage "spin" that omits relevant facts and factors

They always go to marginal rates instead of effective rates...do they ever tell the truth or is everything always a lie with them?

Elephant excrement! That's the top statutory rate...US effective corp tax rate is about the same as Mutt R-money's...

The U.S. corporate tax burden is smaller than average for developed countries.[1] Corporations in 19 of the member states of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development paid 16.1 percent of their profits in taxes between 2000 and 2005, on average, while corporations in the United States paid 13.4 percent.

Putting US corp tax rate in perspective

Which frankly isn't surprising since Romney is effectively self-incorporated and thus he is taxed primarily like a corporation

Cons continue to mislead on this issue. From a non-right wing source http://finance.yahoo.com/news/u-corporate-tax-rate-poised-171800370.html:

Loopholes and other special treatment for different kinds of businesses mean that businesses pay an effective rate of only 29.2% of their income, which puts the United States below the average of 31.9% among other major economies, according to analysis by the Treasury Department.
And the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the multinational group that tracks global economic growth, estimates the United States collects less corporate tax relative to the overall economy than almost any other country in the world.

(Emphasis added).

Totally irrelevant and nothing to do with corporate OR business taxes, which are two different taxes by the way.

And net incomes for individuals, which the article is really referring to, after accounting for inflation, have actually fallen under Obama.

For instance, your dollar, compared to when Obama was elected is worth half as much at the gas station and about 70% as much at the grocery store.

Marxism disguised as phony tax cuts, is still Marxism.

You really need to take a course in economics; the rate Romney paid was on money that was ALREADY TAXED at the corporate tax rate.

In other words, if the corporate tax rate was zero, the dividends and gains Romney earned would have been 35% higher.

Sorry Sarge.. but the PolitiFact piece addresses all forms of taxation and debunks your nonsense.

Yep, it's great over in Cuba and North Korea and Venezuela and, even though China is now becoming more and more economically Capitalist, it is still Socially Communist with little liberty for the people.

Guess you don't believe in the individualism that made America great. It is individuals that advance a society, not government.

National governments don't spend money on themselves, they TAKE money from people and then determine who gets what.

And then when they've got you totally dependent on THEM, by, as you say, spending their money on themselves, they can tyrannize you by threatening to take it away, as the Democrats do to the people who are dependent on them.

Independent, self sufficient people are not as easily intimidated by big, fat, bloated, powerful national governments. They tyrannize that group by threatening to take more of their private property that they have earned with their physical, mental, and intellectual labor.

By the way, how much of each dollar that I earned would I be allowed to keep in your little Police State?
