The right call is made: Justice will not pursue civil rights case for Eric Garner

Even if Al Sharpton wants to persist in lying “Five years ago Eric Garner was choked to death”. No Al, and probably not for the last time, no he was not.

Said it at the time and it is still true: the right call is made. Garner could have listened to proper authority and avoided the entire situation.

The Justice Department, nearly five years to the day after the Staten Island death of Eric Garner, announced Tuesday that no federal charges are coming against the NYPD officer who placed the victim in a deadly chokehold.

Outraged family members of the man whose death galvanized a civil rights movement blasted the long-awaited decision when they learned Officer Daniel Pantaleo received a walk from federal prosecutors in the July 17, 2014, death. The fifth anniversary of the killing is Wednesday and Pantaleo remains on the force.

Police brutality is inherently racist since it is meted out disproportionately to members of oppressed races. The chokehold used was banned because it was a deadly technique. Whether they meant to kill him or not, they meant to use violence to control his Black body.
