Problem is, Trump is the greatest president of all time. He has given us the greatest economy of all time. There's no logical reason for him to resign.
What has to happen is simple. He has to get that wall built, one way or another and Democrats HAVE TO LOSE. They have to be kicked out of power before they can do any more damage.

There may be an "investment that repairs a problem" at half the cost.
In that case, accomplishing the same thing for $twice the $price would be wasteful.
The myth is that Trump's fantasy wall would be a one time expense, permanently solving a problem.
That's pure fiction.
To function properly such infrastructure would have to be patrolled, maintained, repaired.
And there are problems Trump doesn't like to mention.
For the wall to be continuous, connected from coast to coast, reportedly a lot of private land would have to be taken over by government through a process of eminent domain.
It's a lot of land. So there'd be a lot of law suits.
That alone could take longer than Trump's administration will last.
