To scold you for making off-topic noise.

I keep hoping you’ll turn over a new leaf.

Fat chance, eh?

When Obama said the US should be willing to talk with anyone and blamed most of the world's problems on America, and Obama supporters accepted that, was that "surreal" and a "very strange" time when we were "living among tens of millions of brainwashed" zombies?

(Mind you, I'm not saying Obama was entirely wrong, just questioning partisan bias.)
This is false, more conservatives being duped

1. This is not about Obama.
As I already said, I feel partisanship & the blindness it engenders play a key role in your & Democrats' assessments. Contrasting reactions to a Democrat President's words and those of a Republican President speaks directly to that.

2. Obama did no such thing.
This is false, more conservatives being duped
Sorry, but, regarding speaking with anyone...
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/25/fact-check-would-obama-meet-unconditionally-with-iran/
"Obama said on July 23 in Israel that he would be willing to meet with any leader if he thought it would promote the national security interests of the United States, but he said there is a difference between "meeting without preconditions and meeting without preparations."

and, regarding blaming America...

(Again, I don't entirely disagree with Obama's position here. It's the partisan hypocrisy that irks.)

3. The current topic is Trump cozying up to Putin, and blaming US/Russia relations on the “foolishness and stupidity” of the USA. If you see nothing surreal about supporting Trump in this regard, so be it. That’s what makes it so surreal.
Nothing surreal about Democrats seeing red because of an (R) or Republicans being blinded by one. Just the S.O.S.
With all the screaming about Trump's lying, one would think (D)s would find his being truthful refreshing.

Ridiculous. Other than nukes, Russia couldn’t possibly have done more to attack us - they launched a cyberattack criminally interfering with our election to get their stooge elected president. And Trump and his rabble just dismiss it.

Putin’s gotta be smiling ear to ear.

Is it that you think Obama was lying, or he was just too stupid to see what was going on?

“There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections, there’s no evidence that that has happened in the past or that it will happen this time.” - Barack Obama, October 18, 2016

That's different ... Hillary didn't win.

Bottom line - you think Trump was “being truthful” when blaming the poor US/Russia relations on US “foolishness and stupidity.”

That’s the surreal part.

He shouldn't have said it for several reasons but it's true, though not the complete picture.

What's surreal to me is that if a (D) Prez had said it (D)s would be defending & lauding it.
That's the reality of the surreal illusion and the delusion of the surreal reality.

Nope. You just can’t excuse Trump’s treasonous conduct by claiming “a Dem president wudda done it” or that Dems would warmly welcome such treasonous conduct from a Dem. Trump is a one of a kind traitor with a one of a kind brainwashed rabble.

You just see it that way because you think Trump’s absurd statement was “true.”

Deplorable, and surreal.

It’s truly reaching surreal proportions.

Remembers wingers’ yapping about their imaginary “Obama apology tour”?

Well, now we have Trump abroad blaming US “foolishness and stupidity” for the state of US/Russia relations. It wasn’t because of Russia’s cyberwarfare against our election, or the conquest of part of the Ukraine, or the shooting down of a civilian airliner, or killing people abroad with nerve agents. It was, says Trump, due to US “foolishness and stupidity.”

No word yet on whether Trump has literally kissed Putin’s ass...

He's right. The last four idiots to hold that office basically kissed Russia's ass.

Thomas Friedman: “Such behavior by an American president is so perverse, so contrary to American interests and values, that it leads to only one conclusion: Donald Trump is either an asset of Russian intelligence or really enjoys playing one on TV.”

“Everything that happened in Helsinki today only reinforces that conclusion. My fellow Americans, we are in trouble and we have some big decisions to make today. This was a historic moment in the entire history of the United States.”

“There is overwhelming evidence that our president, for the first time in our history, is deliberately or through gross negligence or because of his own twisted personality engaged in treasonous behavior — behavior that violates his oath of office to ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’”

I hate to say we told them so, but we told them so.
