Trump sold out the farmers who voted for him

1. Trump threw a hissy-fit of a trade war with China that ended up slapping down U.S. farmers by drastically worsening the already-low prices they were getting for their crops. Instead of prosperity, the average farm profit last year was minus $1,500!

2. On March 11, Trump whacked $3.6 billion from the safety-net programs that offer a measure of relief to hard-hit producers when crop prices crash.

3. Trump added insult to injury by calling the dab of support family farms get from the government “overly generous.”

I understand the absence of reaction from Trumpies. Heck, those midwest farmers who are underwater LITERALLY and facing bankruptcy still pledge allegiance to Trump.

Must be all that gun- and Bible-clinging, huh?

Or maybe it's pride in themselves and their country, their accomplishments, their self-reliance, and a deep appreciation of their freedom?

As opposed to EVERYTHING the Left stands for?

Midwest farmers are losing money, bankruptcies are up. Has Trump policies helped or hurt them?

Are You saying Trump made it rain and the snow melt? The flooding will bankrupt many farmers and doesn't have a damn thing to do with Trump. I know you like to eat and Trump may have to do for farmers as Obobo did for GMC.

Damn lie, UP due to farmers thinking corn would again be $8 a bushel and when it was going into debt for $Millions in new farm equipment and then corn went down to $3 a bushel.

As a BIG restaurant owner, this will break your back due to the cost of food that you can't pass on to customers!

Trump thinks tariffs are paid by the exporting country.
God help us!
Actually, Trump thinks only he can add tariffs to the cost of imported products. China was a huge customer for a lot of US agriculture. Their retaliation for Trump's actions cost a lot of farmers a lot of business and resulted in a glut of their products domestically.

Dawg is right, crazy farmers buying way to expensive, un-needed equipment just because financing was EASY. But there is also supply and demand and if demand is down, the commodity prices suffer, so the tarriffs do hurt soybean, wheat and corn farmers -the 3 primary crops of the midwest corn belt.

Dawg did you buy that new combine you mentioned a few month back?
