Trump was warned on Jan 29....

And why was it that Sweden the world's role model for socialized medicine did not institute a ban on Travel to China and then not a complete ban until 2.5 weeks after Trump?

Beginning on the 17th February, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised against all trips to the Hubei province in China, as well as non-essential travel to the rest of China apart from Hong Kong and Macao.[26][27]
Perhaps they were more concerned with whichever more effective measures they took to result in a lower infection rate than the U.S.

“The lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on U.S. soil,” Mr. Navarro’s memo said. “This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans.”

Dated Jan. 29, it came during a period when Mr. Trump was playing down the risks to the United States, and he would later go on to say that no one could have predicted such a devastating outcome.

Mr. Navarro said in the memo that the administration faced a choice about how aggressive to be in containing an outbreak, saying the human and economic costs would be relatively low if it turned out to be a problem along the lines of a seasonal flu.

But he went on to emphasize that the “risk of a worst-case pandemic scenario should not be overlooked” given the information coming from China.

In one worst-case scenario cited in the memo, more than a half-million Americans could die.

Why are you only calling out Trump?

If he had acted with massive shutdowns on January 29th, Democrats would have been calling him a dictator.

Let's look at the actual timeline
Jan. 14: The WHO proclaims that “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in Wuhan, China.”
Jan. 17: the CDC and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that American citizens returning from travel-restricted countries were being rerouted to specific airports, where they would be screened and isolated. CDC on that day also stated that, “based on current information, the risk from 2019-nCoV to the American public is currently deemed to be low.”
Jan. 21: the first case of coronavirus in the United States was reported, of a man who had traveled from Wuhan, China. That is the case President Trump referred to the next day
Jan. 22: Trump said: "We have it totally under control, it is one person, coming in from China…” which was factually true. It was one person coming in from China. And the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) had yet to confirm the human-to-human spread of the virus.
Jan. 28: President Trump expanded U.S. airport screenings to identify travelers showing symptoms and instituted mandatory quarantines.
Jan. 30, the WHO declared a global health emergency of international concern.
Jan. 31: The very next day, the president declared coronavirus a U.S. public health emergency and issued the ban on travel between the United States and China. On that same day, the Senate voted on the production of additional documents in the impeachment trial of President Trump. Campaigning in Iowa that day, Biden criticized President Trump’s China travel ban, saying during an Iowa campaign event, “This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia.”
Feb. 4: The White House directed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to step up coronavirus diagnostic testing procedures.
Feb. 5: The CDC issued a public statement saying, “While we continue to believe the immediate risk of 2019nCoV exposure to the general public is low, CDC is undertaking measures to help keep that risk low.
Feb. 18: The CDC reaffirmed that the “risk to Americans from coronavirus is low.”
Feb. 20: The administration raised travel warnings to their highest level for Japan and South Korea.
Feb 24: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was out in San Francisco's Chinatown in late February encouraging people to go out in public and spend money at local businesses despite concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus. Trump has banned travel from China in late January.
Feb. 26: The first case of suspected local transmission in the United States was announced by the CDC. President Trump that day named Vice President Pence to lead the Coronavirus Task Force. The next day,
Feb. 29: The first death from the coronavirus was recorded in the United States. On that date, President Trump halted travel with Iran.
March 1: Chris Cuomo assured New Yorkers that the general risk in the state "remains low."
March 11: The WHO declared coronavirus a worldwide pandemic
March 12: President Trump imposed travel restrictions on Europe and elsewhere. Biden criticized that decision also.
March 13: President Trump declared a national emergency.

Please Monday-Morning Quarterback this. It appears the white house was ahead of the CDC, Cuomo, Pelosi, Biden (in regards to a Chinese travel ban).

1. Trump called a national health emergency and banned travel from China the next day after the WHO finally investigated and stopped merely parroting Chinese propaganda, while the Democrats were busy with impeachment and Biden was calling the travel ban "racist" and "Xenophobic". Those are facts.

2. The white house was aggressively coercing other organizations to take take it more seriously, like the FDA, while the CDC continually represented the threat as low and not much to worry about all the way until Feb 18th, that's a fact.

3. Nanci Pelosi was out encouraging mass gatherings on Feb 24th, thats a fact.

4. After the first person to person infection in the USA, Trump coordinated a response team the next day, that's a fact.

I mean, where is your evidence for this BS narrative that everyone was on top of this but Trump???

I think everyone was behind, nobody was completely on top of it. Trump, the CDC, Democrats, the FDA... all behind when looking back.

China and the WHO? criminally liable.

It's too bad the entire US Government was distracted by your ridiculous impeachment gambit.

Fact: Trump publicly attacked doctors and other health officials for stating that the threat was serious.

This is what's going to torpedo Pres. Biden's campaign, possibly even more than the fact that he's no longer coherent or able to communicate in English.

Obama has been out of office since JANUARY 2017. When are the Republicans going to stop blaming him for Trump's mistakes?
Blaming him for something he did? Unreal, huh? The Kenyan freak depleted the masks down to nothing and then refused to replace them. Should he not be criticized severely for that debacle?

You mean the same point in time Trump instituted a China travel ban, declared a national public health emergency, and created a special task force dealing specifically with this threat? What were Democrats doing or telling Trump to do on January 29th to stop this? Pelosi and Schumer were screaming racism and obsessing over impeachment. Cuomo was telling New Yorkers to worry more about the flu. Deblasio was telling New Yorkers to act like normal. Quid pro senile Joe was yelling that the Trump travel ban was xenophobic.

Facts matter. Left wing psychosis does not.

Point out in the timeline what you would have done differently, but knowing what we knew at the time, not what you know now.
I am already on record advocating every major positive step take by Washington, weeks or months before those steps were taken. I would start by going back to Trump’s decision to disband the global pandemic response team.

You mean, he was unable to get Congress to approve funding to replace them. What was he supposed to do, organize a march on Washington to demand Congress release the funding?

They were telling him in no uncertain terms to make arrangements to procure adequate supplies for hospitals. He dismissed the need to do so. We all saw it.

That’s not what we’re talking about. If you want to talk about preparation you should be shredding Obama for ignoring the clear and well-documented demands for ventilators to be made in case this happened.

You’re being too selective on your blame, it hurts your credibility

Obviously this was a failure of politicians in both parties. The fact remains that Trump, who assured us being president was gonna be “so easy,” has been in office for more than 3 years and actively dismantled preparation efforts BECAUSE Obama had been responsible for them.

LOL. You mean the supplies that Obama depleted and never replaced? How does one go about "procuring supplies" on mass level in a matter of weeks? By tapping their shoes and being a left wing fairy? ROFl

He didn't even propose funding that was earmarked to replace them.

There ya go. Just say that.

That's the difference between good and decent non-republican Americans and right-wingers. Decent American's take responsibility for their actions or in this case inactions. Scumbags never do.

Given that Trump also did not replace them, our best option was to order manufacturers to start producing the needed supplies in January.

No, he just proposed increased funding for the CDC and for public health, but due to sequestration and other across-the-board cuts the public health agencies were forced to make painful choices
