I just read this. Not sure what to make of it. I'm kinda torn. Mostly, I want us out of Obama's war in Syria. Part of me says we shouldn't let this go unanswered.

Or another of Trumps minions will quit. It's the latest fad.
No one said standing up to the swamp would be easy. You even helped make the point yapping about how that crooked swamp creature was well respected by her peers.

obama's war in syria. what a gigantic exaggeration. how many troops have we ever had in Syria? how many have we lost in Syria during Obama? what are you lying about now? I guess it is okay with you that Russia's other little bitch besides Trump, Assad, uses chemical weapons on his own citizens, bombs civilians with disregard, and Kurd fighters, who we have backed in Iraq and in Syria, who are the ones who have fought and died to eliminate most of ISIS from those two countries, that Trump took credit for, have now been thrown under the bus because Trump will do anything Turkish dictator Erdogan asks as long as it benefits Putin, his lord and master.

what swamp? trump is the swamp king. look at how many of his picks have been indicted or forced to resign. almost as many as Reagan. look at how corrupt trump is, still getting dough from his properties. his family who has made mega millions off him being president. the foreigners and even GOP stooges who curry favor with Trump by booking huge expensive suites at his properties and sometimes not even showing up to stay there, since it was really just greasing Trump's tiny sweaty palm in the first place.

why do you lie so much? do you just not read anything at all?

Yes, it was a small number of troops. But IMHO, if you send our troops into a war zone and they're getting shot at, that's war.

Now... I can't believe these accusations you're making against Assad. Hillary says he's a reformer!

In the end, I'm fine with my default position. I want us OUT of wars. Syria's problems should be handled by countries in the region.

The only thing we know for sure is that whatever Trump's response, liberals will oppose it.
because the bitch is corrupt, dishonest and incompetent. not just liberals oppose his awful corruption and being Putin's little bitch, which drives his abandonment of the Kurds and his attempts to allow pro-russian ukrainians to have more control in Ukraine, but everyone around the world who sees Putin and Erdogan as two corrupt immoral dictators and killers.

The Obama had the most idiotic foreign policy in the history of the American presidency. The moron bowed to dictators all over the world, even gave millions of American tax dollars to a terrorist state (Iran). He created ISIS. He armed them. He and the neocons (like the Bushes) left messes all over the Middle East for Trump to clean up.

Trump campaigned on this. Get us out of the Middle East. Get American soldiers OUT of harm's way unless it is something that benefits the United States. Trump pissed off neocons everywhere by being one of the original voices opposed to the Iraq War, when he was just The Donald.

And now, he is keeping yet another campaign promise. If you really want American boots on the ground defending a handful of Kurds, get the House of Edited off their fat criminal asses and make them do their jobs, rather than the impeachment circle jerk they've been involved in for the past three years. Get them to pass a declaration of war and the Commander In Chief will send in shock and awe.

Right now, in addition to giving America the greatest economy in history and fixing our trade problems, Trump is keeping his promise on getting our troops out of harm's way. And now that Trump has made America the world's number one exporter of energy, perhaps the Middle East might be a little less important to the world.

you are lying. where do you get this shit about hillary praising Assad? are you nuts?

Clinton talked about the developments Syria on CBS’ Face the Nation on March 27, 2011. Host Bob Schieffer pressed her on why the U.S. reaction would be different from its response to Libya with air strikes. Syria, Schieffer noted, is no friend of the U.S. as an enemy of Israel and ally of Iran, and Assad’s father had "killed 25,000 people, at a lick" in 1982.

Clinton said:

"Well, if there were a coalition of the international community, if there were the passage of a Security Council resolution, if there were a call by the Arab League, if there was a condemnation that was universal, but that is not going to happen because I don't think that it's yet clear what will occur, what will unfold.

"There is a different leader in Syria now. Many of the members of Congress of both parties who have gone to Syria in recent months have said they believe he's a reformer.

"What's been happening there the last few weeks is deeply concerning, but there's a difference between calling out aircraft and indiscriminately strafing and bombing your own cities than police actions which, frankly, have exceeded the use of force that any of us would want to see."

So Clinton did refer to Assad as "a reformer." But she crafted the line as the opinion of "members of Congress of both parties," not her opinion. And she never defended (as Wallace said) Assad, instead saying in that interview that he "exceeded the use of force that any of us would want to see."

Two days later, Clinton addressed her comment at a press conference in London. She responded to a Wall Street Journal reporter’s question asking if it is her position that Assad is a reformer.

"I referenced opinions of others," Clinton said. "That was not speaking either for myself or for the Administration."

She said the administration deplored the Syrian crackdown on protesters and that it’s up to Syria’s leaders "to prove that it can be responsive to the needs of its own people."

Clinton went on. "We’re troubled by what we hear, but we’re also going to continue to urge that the promise of reform, which has been made over and over again and which you reported on just a few months ago – ‘I’m a reformer, I’m going to reform, and I’ve talked to members of Congress and others about that,’ that we hear from the highest levels of leadership in Syria – will actually be turned into reality," she said. "That’s what we’re waiting and watching for."

As the military crackdown on Syrians persisted and worsened, Obama and Clinton called on Assad to go. Clinton was interviewed in November 2011 for ABC News by Jake Tapper, who noted she "at one point seemed to have optimism that Assad was a reformer."

Clinton said, "Well, we had hoped so because there was a lot at stake, we wanted to see an agreement, for example, between Syria and Israel. That was something that people have been working on for 30 years. We heard what Assad said about what he wanted to do for reform. But when it came to it, in the Arab Spring and as people actually demanded some freedom and their rights, he responded, as we have seen, very violently.

BASHAR ASSAD
Bashar al-Assad is the 19th president of Syria. He entered office in 2000. As president, Assad is also commander-in-chief of the Syrian armed forces and regional secretary of the socialist Ba’ath Party in Syria. Born in 1965, Assad is the third son of the late Syrian president Hafez al-Assad, who held office from 1971-2000. Before replacing his father as president, Assad studied medicine at Damascus University, graduating as an opthamologist in 1988. He served in the Syrian Army for four years as a doctor. In 1992 he moved to London to continue his studies, but was called back to Syria when his older brother Bassel, who had been designated to replace their father as president, was killed in an automobile accident. Assad is married to Asma al-Assad, a British woman of Syrian origin. The couple has three children. Presidency 2000-2011 On June 10, 2000 Hafez al-Assad passed away, and on June 18, 2000 Bashar was appointed General Secretary of the ruling Ba’ath Party. Soon after, after running as an unopposed candidate for the presidency, he was elected to a 7 year term in office. At first, Assad was seen as a better alternative to his father by many Syrians. They hoped the well-educated younger Assad, with his background and exposure to the West, would bring about changes to the status-quo. Assad stated that democracy was “a tool to a better life,” but that it couldn’t be rushed into Syria. At first, Assad somewhat successfully helped Syria ease out of the economic troubles it was in at the end of the 90s. Modernization gradually entered the Syrian public and private spheres.

Syrian Civil War In 2011, inspired by other Arab Spring protests throughout the Middle East, waves of unrest began breaking out in Assad’s Syria, in time turning into the bloody Syrian Civil War. Many of the protesters were opposed to the totalitarian rule imposed by Assad’s ruling party, in place since the time his father took office. As the war progressed Assad began making fewer and fewer public appearances. Foreign countries and military groups began sending in support for either the Syrian Army or the rebels, turning the fighting into a proxy war.

bullshit. the number of "troops" with the Kurds is less than any black ops mission. That is not a real combat presence, and only liars like Trump would say it was. The real deal is that our soldiers being with those Kurds kept Erdogan from attacking them, not because our 25-50 soldiers made that big a difference physically, but that he knew killing any American soldiers, even with Putin's bitch Trump as president, might cause Trump to act against Erdogan, a dictator he has praised openly many times.

and it is not the greatest economy in history, except maybe in unemployment numbers. but it was heading that way when trump took over anyway...goddamn..how about using some facts occasionally?

we have to support those that have fought with our soldiers, did the brunt of dying and sacrifice, to get rid of ISIS...maybe we could take all our soldiers out, but it should have been announced at a press conference, with military leaders at his side, and with a strong warning to all that any attack on the Kurds would be seen as an attack on our ally, and would be met with instant retaliation.

outside of interfering in Georgia and Ukraine, two third world countries right next to him, former satellite countries with a fairly large segment of Russians and pro-russian citizens, who has russia messed with, or caused nearly as much damage overall, as ISIS and al qaeda? even today, russia is not the biggest threat to us, china is, because economically, they can afford to build up their military. russia has only one import, that is oil, and if we would get off our ass and do more to help the world replace oil as the number one energy source to renewable sources, it would totally cripple Russia's ability to be a threat.

it is hard to believe even a trump voter is so incredibly stupid they believe trump comes close to obama in any policy, in any kind of measure, and who is even fit to lick obama's feet.

because it leads him to protect the murdering Saudi prince, who Jared has business dealings with and the trump family in general. and it makes him become erdogan's little bitch, because he has some potential money to be made there, as well. and with Putin. EVERYTHING TRUMP DOES IS TO MAKE MORE MONEY FOR HIMSELF, OR IVANKA.
