We do seem to be revisiting the 1960's. It seems worse now, but maybe that's because I am at a different place in my life.
Mmmmmm but what is happening in Europe are not student protests - at first about 40% of French citizens were behind the Yellow Vests now, after seeing ow their Gov treat them, it is between 70-80+% who might not all come out on to the streets but they are behind the movement - I saw a discussion going on, after the Police hit an old lady on crutches, between disabled French people really wanting to be present on the streets but too fearful of the Police - that is a terrible thing in a so called civilized land.
The other difference here, though not in France, is that in the 1960s the students marched with the workers - now, it is the opposite, the students march against the workers. What happened in France is that every faction came out onto the streets and by actually talking to each other, in person as opposed to fb, twitter and such like, they have found the similarities in their criticisms of Gov/EU/Globalism - and protest side by side in unity. That is why they will win - it is a huge leap which I am not sure can happen here or in the US - but, one never can tell -
