I don't think they will. Remember, the oil companies have a very small margin, such that if less of their product is sold, they make much less money. It's not like the high tech industry that has a 30% margin, and as such, if they can't make similar profits as the previous year, they have the resources to hype small changes in their existing products to get the guiible dupes to buy them.
