Who would ya'll rather have as POTUS, Trump or Pence?

Because it occurred to me, that the Trumpster being the kind of guy he is, might just get tired of being President.... After a year or 2 of constant media harassment and abuse, along with the normal stress of the job, he might just say; "Fvck this...." and drop the mic and walk off stage. Why put up with all the bullshit, and the meetings, and the criticism and second-guessing, when you can just resign and go back to being a billionaire and flying off in your private jet whenever you damn well feel like it, to wherever you feel like, and banging your super-model trophy wife (and as many of her friends as she brings over) when you get there?

But if he does do that, that would make Mike Pence the POTUS.... how do ya'll feel about that?

Personally? Pence.
Honestly, I believe a Trump misstep would result in a sit-down, old school style. The GOP leadership can explain to Donald he's committed an act that likely will result in his impeachment. He will resign the office and the GOP can put Pence in, and be more comfortable for doing it.

Yes. Trump's never had to work hard for anything, since he was basically handed his whole career by his father. And he's used to being surrounded by yes-men who have to pretend he's smart in order to keep their jobs. So, it could be that now that he has to work hard, and lots of people are more than willing to point out what a crappy job he's doing, he'll quit. I think that would be an improvement. Yes, a theocrat like Pence would be a terrible president. But he's at least sane. And as sad as it is to say so, having a sane president would be a step up from the status quo. So, if Trump wants to go back to a private life of paying Russian hookers to pee on him, I'd invite him to do so. The presidency is too important to be in the hands of someone as damaged as he is.

I don't like Pence. He is too much of a religious conservative for my libertarian self.

Still buying into the "dossier" huh? Did you also swallow the one that said Obama liked to smoke crack and get blown by gay prostitutes in the back of the presidential limo? LOL

I doubt if trump "will get tired". he spent 3-4 decades in his casino/resort business, without getting bored.

pence seems like a normal enough guy, but not who the people wanted as president. trump should have picked a running mate from the cadres who wanted the nomination, rather than an innocent bystander.

I think you've got the man all wrong.

I think he loves kicking the Washington Establishment/Media Cartel in the nuts... and I love watching him doing it.

I think being president is actually easier than his normal work routine. He's one of those workhorse machines, constantly on the go.

He's pretty much on vacation, as it's not his own personal money on the line here like he's lived his whole life. It must be a comforting feeling after actually being held accountable financially for his decisions his whole life.

Obviously, he has a passion for the country, or he wouldn't have bankrolled his candidacy personally. Hillary didn't do that, Obama didn't do that. That says a lot about Trump, and showing the signs of genuine concern and action.

I hope so, I really don't pay the man much mind, I just like watching him piss people off.

Trump's business M.O. was to quit and leave other people holding the bill once his mistakes caught up with him. The question is whether he'll stick with that M.O. now that he's the president.

Trump wasn't who the people wanted as president, either. The people preferred Clinton, as you'll recall.

I suspect he didn't have a choice. I'm betting there was a back-room meeting where the power players in the religious conservative movement told him they'd run interference for him no matter how many women he raped, but only if he let them fill the VP slot.

I think you've captured his appeal in a nutshell. I don't think many people expect him to lead America well. But they don't care. As long as he makes their perceived enemies angry, they're fine with him trashing America.

Politicians have become a class, and seem to have forgotten that they are supposed to be servants of the people. It's probably always been like that, but it has gotten more blatant in the last couple of generations and they haven't even bothered to keep up the pretense.... and that pisses people off. So electing Trump was a way of bitch-slapping them back into line. Whether or not it works remains to be seen....

Trump has no genuine concern for anyone but himself. Why hasn't he paid the people who actually worked for him? Why did he help his Alzheimer ridden old father form a new will that left out his dead brother's family? Ask the people whose lives he ruined in Scotland, what they think of your "caring" POS President.
