Why do we have to pretend that our law isn't religious?

The Common Law (which the US states' law is governed by) incorporates elements from older legal systems, including Exodus.

The basic premises center on the golden rule, and include elements which were found in older legal systems, such as that of the Israelites - such as respect for personal property (not stealing), respect for individuals, their lives, and their families (not murdering, not committing adultery, and so forth).

On the other hand, an atheist, or at least one who has no morals and believes "life is meaningless" is already discriminated against - he isn't allowed to rape, to murder, to molest children, or other things which a nihilistic atheist could have no problem with, except by appropriating values which developed from Christian legal systems.

So atheism, at least of the nihilistic variety, is already banned in the United States and in every civilized country, such as Britain - an atheist has no rights, but those which come from a Christian-influenced state, so why should we pretend anymore that the worthless worldviews of a nihilistic atheist are "equal" to those of the 10 Commandments, or our Christian-influenced legal systems?

Atheists of that variety are already discriminated against, and for good reason - so why don't we just make it official. Any worldview which acknowledges rights and moral duties, whether to God or country, is superior to that which has none at all.

Atheists of that breed, would be the bain of every nation, past, and present, and evolutionarily speaking would be worth nothing at all, other than perhaps as a mistake or defective for the better members of the species to learn from, which is the one redeeming value that the evolutionarily worthless serve, and that might otherwise justify not exterminating them outright, were our thinking Darwinian.
