Why would an Atheist celebrate Christmas?

Pretty good write-up on what Christmas means to people who aren't Christians. As an Atheist, I still take Christmas as a time to cling to family and friends and celebrate what we mean to each other. The idea of togetherness, support and love for one another transcends any particular religion.

We have the right to celebrate whatever and however we want. I have no problem with an atheist celebrating Christmas in his/her own way. The only time I would ever have a problem with an atheist is if/when that person tries to infringe on my ability to worship God or Jesus. As long as that doesn't happen, it's live and let live.
