b) Previous reports indicate this is not the first time such antic has been tried. Reports indicate those legal challenges are still pending final court ruling.
c) "Elections have consequences" is an emphatic political slogan Republicans seem to enjoy reciting, when they're pressing partisan advantage over Democrats.

Now that Democrats have beaten Republicans in Wisconsin, it seems Republicans aren't much concerned with the will of the People as expressed by this most recent election.

The will of the people put the legislature in place. Evers won the governorship, republicans retain overwhelming control of the state house.
And "Elections have consequences" were the infamous words of one Barrack Hussein Obama. But that seems to be the case only when democrats win.
