Wisconsin republicans vote to strip power from Democrats

The right didn't lose power, they lost the governorship. They retain the assembly. It's kind of like how democrats won't relent even though they lost the presidency and the Senate.
Isn’t it the lame duck Assembly voting for this? And don’t Republicans have a majority in the new one even through Democrats got 64% of the vote?

They are all essentially the same people that were voted in last time, and they are trying to preserve the excellent work that they have done.

Wisconsin republicans vote to strip power from Democrats

a) Interesting case.

b) Previous reports indicate this is not the first time such antic has been tried. Reports indicate those legal challenges are still pending final court ruling.

c) "Elections have consequences" is an emphatic political slogan Republicans seem to enjoy reciting, when they're pressing partisan advantage over Democrats.

BUT !!

Now that Democrats have beaten Republicans in Wisconsin, it seems Republicans aren't much concerned with the will of the People as expressed by this most recent election.

Hypocrite much?

Aszhole Republicans are pulling the same crap in Michigan.
Republicans cheat before elections (read NC Repub election fraud) and cheat after the elections.
That's why it doesn't bother them that Trump the Aberrant President is a liar, a cheat, a crook and mentally unbalanced. That's who they are.

If that is what they voted for, then they should have not voted in the same assembly. Evers squeaked through a victory and only because the national democrats deluged the airwaves with lies about Walker's record on pre-existing conditions.
Every Republican running in the midterms claimed they intended to maintain pre-existing condition protections WHILE AT THE SAME TIME SUING IN COURT TO END THOSE VERY PROTECTIONS.

Bet YOU believed the lie, didn't you?
LOL

Right wing fascism is trying to sweep across America.

Now Michigan jumps on ship.

Michigan voted to bar incoming secretary of state from enforcing campaign finance law one day after Wisconsin took similar action

"The Republican-led Michigan senate has voted to bar the incoming Democratic secretary of state from enforcing campaign finance law, one day after Republicans in Wisconsin similarly took action to restrict the power of newly elected Democrats."
North Carolina Republicans did similar things when a Dem won the governor’s race.

Let’s face it - Republicans hate democracy.

And? They lame ducked them. Gee, that's totally new in politics and never before pulled by Ds. Goes around comes around. Cry us a damn river.
So dems doing this , if gop ever wins again, will be perfectly fine - duly noted for future post history.

"Your "patriotism" is on full display." TO #35
a) As is yours, or the lack thereof.

b ) The United States of America is not a cult of personality TO #35.
The historic high Trump administration churn rate supports the charge that Trump demands loyalty to himself, rather than to the United States Constitution.

c) A true U.S. patriot is not loyal to any U.S. president that is not loyal to his duty.

The will of the people put the legislature in place. Evers won the governorship, republicans retain overwhelming control of the state house.

And "Elections have consequences" were the infamous words of one Barrack Hussein Obama. But that seems to be the case only when democrats win.

I don't believe your lies. But you could do us all a favor and back up your assertions with documentation. I know that's a request that will never go fulfilled, but it would do a lot for your credibility.

Republicans retain control of the legislature against the will of the majority.
