Wow. President fled to bunker

well, he could attempt to speak to the nation, call for calm, call for order, call leaders throughout communities together to discuss a path forward..

rather than tweeting like a child.
He has called for calm and order. And has been roundly ignored or blamed for the entirety of this episode.

Tweeting is his biggest down fall
Tweeting is for kids and there's many in DC

Wonder why secret service would move him - unless they had a possible specific threat? Such as an unknown individual inside their perimeter.
I heard that Trump pooped his pants while being escorted into the bunker. It was quite a scene. Barr evidently was there and was dispatched to clean up the mess.

he needs to set the tone.. are we coordinating a peaceful end to this mess? or no..?
Trump is denouncing the riots, as any president and quite honestly moral citizen and person should do.

What is Trump supposed to do to convince these angry mobs to stop terrorizing the people and buildings in mass amounts? Police forces and units are being overrun and have to retreat.

That's my first question here to you. What can Trump do? Say "stop"? He has. Have they listened? No.

I saw this from another poster.

First off, he has called for calm and order. Rioters obviously aren't listening.

As far as leaders, who are the "leaders" of these protests and riots? Democrat leaders, mayors, etc. are busy saying the anger is understandable and justified. Some of the black leaders are busy pouring gasoline on the fire saying as a black person you are, in fact, being hunted and are in danger of death around every corner (when data says that's not remotely true.)

Some sort of joint progress might be more attainable if people weren't busy blaming Trump for the riots, as Maxine Waters and other Democrats and black leaders have oddly done (he instantly condemned the incident and sent the feds to investigate).

We need help from the left here, because the left is probably the only thing they'll listen to. But the left is too busy making sure the narrative is "These are peaceful protests with a few bad apples", which I think is safe to say inaccurate. Thousands in tens of cities are rioting.

Meanwhile, remember Charlottesville? Do you recall media, non-Conservative leaders, etc. making excuses for the initial peaceful protests, and lecturing people to not to lose the meaning of the initial peaceful protest before the idiot racists came in? You probably aren't even aware there was an initial peaceful protest, which only fought against whether a statue should be up or down. And when the evil folk came in, that was like 200 people in one city, on one afternoon, and it was branded as a national crisis, and also slapped across Trump and the entire Conservative ideology as those who were responsible. Where is the branding of Obama, Democrats, etc. for these examples of extremes in their ideology that are infinitely more violent and larger in size? It's not there, it's being defended, and for what?

Because assisting a black narrative of oppression in this freest of countries at all costs, and the narrative of "exposing" and fighting a systemically racist America, is more important than worrying about innocent lives and livelihoods in cities. 8-10 people are dead, where is the national outrage? Were these not someone's son? Why are these deaths acceptable collateral damage?? It shows it's not about human life, and some lives (exploitable ones) are more important than others.

I say it's downright BS to lay innocents at the alter of an extremist, vague, undefined agenda. Leftists need to help the innocents by attempting to curtail their own extremists right now. Help us protect innocent lives first. Stop being afraid to be called a racist for standing up for a civilized society that won't tolerate massive arson, looting, assault, and murder. Otherwise, you should be fine with any group doing it provided they are angry enough.

If Trump needs someone else to do his job he shouldn't be president.

Maybe bolster the police ... and bring order.
