Yup. Trump was told of serious pandemic risk in January

All 3 people you mentioned are people that the White House and Fox News attacked for portraying the virus as a serious threat. Now that it has become clear that they were right, you all are trying to rewrite the history we all witnessed.
The worst gaslighting ever attempted.

When Dems expressed alarm, Trump accused them of a partisan hoax.

And now Trump and his cultists pretend that Trump said the same things that were said by those very same Dems.

Truly awful dishonesty.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.

We are merely trying to keep history straight on the facts. You people are the ones rewriting it to make Trump the only person in the whole world who initially downplayed the peril. At least he was DOING THINGS about it while making those comments. The democrats were merely on the sidelines throwing garbage onto the field.

What would Trump have said if he was in FDR’s shoes? Things like...

We have the Depression completely under control. It’s nothing to worry about.

It will be over in two weeks.

It will just go away. Like a miracle.

The warm weather will put an end to it.

Don’t listen to the Dems and the media. The Depression is not a threat. It’s a political hoax.

Yup. Things like that. Nothing like FDR’s fireside chats.
It doesn't matter what he would have said - what he would have done is NONE of the economic interventions FDR did that prolonged the Great Depression throughout his time in office.

Yes, and Nancy Pelosi was telling people to go down to Chinatown and eat in the restaurants to prove they're not "racist". She was also handing out her Chinese-made impeachment pens.

Crikey. You see this as a good time to yap about the measures to get us out of the Depression?

The subject was the bizarre comparison of FDR’s statements with Trump’s statements.

Focus.

Crikey! The Great Depression lasted throughout FDR's time in office. If that had been a Republican you know as well as I do that nobody, NO BODY would be saying his "measures" got us out of the Depression.

FDR's resolute reassurances that his policies were working when they weren't is undeniable. Isn't that what you are accusing Trump of?

The fact is that the right, taking its cues from Trump, downplayed the danger for months ... as you did, for example ... while (as with global warming and so many other things) the left kept hammering home the point that we should listen to the evidence and not to our ideological preconceptions.

Unemployment when Roosevelt took office: 24%
Unemployment at the end of his first term: 14%
Unemployment at the end of his 2nd term: 10%

This global pandemic (community spread in the U.S. for months) does not have a racial face on it. Your pretending it does will get people killed.

The depression ended in 1941. Roosevelt was president until 1945.

The Right is always right
One of Trump’s favorite lies.

Indeed, one of Trump cultists’ favorite lies too!

;-)
You disgusting penchant for lying is noted again:

Which you prove by citing a media outlet being sued for its dangerous lies about the pandemic?

I gave you a list of analogous things Trump would have said if he were president during the Depression. The polar opposite of what FDR said throughout. Comparing the two is nothing less than idiotic GOP hackery.
