Ohio State University's motto.

So what did Ohio State ever do that was great? rotate crops?

The great passion of education seems to focus on doing great things. Contribute to mankind. For what? Does it make mankind any better? We were always told to aim high; just left my head in the clouds. PROGRESS... the quintessential necessary ongoing battle to be better, but has it made us better? Our cities have sent out roots of concrete and steel, pouring over the land, and burrowing into the land. Now you can drive a car anywhere... is that progress?

I studied mankind. Trying to figure out... what the hell we are doing here. I'm not certain I understand what it is, but I'm certain none of us have any idea either, we are born from a standing stop; totally no existence whatsoever, and then, pow, entrance onto the planet with no idea whatsoever is happening. All we do is listen to others for some clue what to do with ourselves... and the ones we listen to, are working through the same dilemma.

I thank God for toilet paper. Whoever thought of that, kuddos, I hope we never quit making it. The rest of it, I'm not sure what to make of it. I see a Spirit, I'm not so sure whether he sees me, how can I be sure what all these miracles mean? This universe doesn't look happenstance to me, at the same time, it doesn't look created either. There's an awful lot of chemistry that is just right for us to live these short lives, way more than we begin to realize, and then we depart. So many promises of return, resurrection, reincarnation, an afterlife... and yet, I don't see any of it yet... and they all say it is coming, don't doubt, believe! Why does it matter what I believe? Que sera sera. Shouldn't make a damn what any of us believe.

I spent my entire childhood trying to figure out how I got here. Identity, me, myself, my particular person; it is uniquely me, how did I pop up out of nothing? Would if I never popped up? Would if I return to not existing? I thought about that.

I love technology, but I love the raw earth of the Amish better. Did you know the Amish are the original anna-baptists? Baptising grown ups... after they have grown up. Had some crazy idea from the scriptures that baptism was for born again believers, not babies. I love pure forms, clean ideas and clean water, natural landscapes without telephone poles, concrete roads, brick buildings, asphalt parking lots, signs, artificial light, or skyscrapers. But is that all there is to this life? Build a dream house? Grow crops? Or are we supposed to do great things? Who decides if they were great? What difference does it make after we are gone?

There's a still soft voice that talks in my inner ear. Tells me what to do, guides me, keeps me sane. He's who I listen to. I don't know who he is. I know what name I call him, but how can I know something like that? We all go away. We don't know where... we have ideas, some of us think we know, none of us truly know, whatever happened to someone else; whose to say what will happen to you? Our lives end and we still don't understand what is happening. I remember the last time I saw my grandpa, he couldn't speak his last 4 years, but he clearly was worried I was leaving without saying goodbye; I told him, it won't be long, we'll meet up again; I figured the time would pass faster for him than me... I won't know for sure unless I really do meet up with him again.

So, I turned 55 years old last month. Now I know I have few years left. I'm okay with that. But my son isn't. He's afraid of death. I tell him he won't see death. I will, but I'll be right back, come and get him. Because the age is over... and all this waiting is over... and we finally are going to learn how this thing works. In the mean time, I'm just here to help. I don't care what happens, I just want to see how it ends... my life, his life, all our lives, the age of insanity and religion and hope and change and too many things that weren't supposed to happen... it's okay, it doesn't make sense and some argue over what is right of left, and others are doing great things, and governments are insanely running on empty into a giant net that will take them all up, and some of you think we need to prove everything out, be legitimate, be official, why? Who cares if you get some of it wrong? Big Fukin Deal that it is, what difference will it make to anyone?

I have a friend in Michigan. We went through ministry training together. Some day we will join up again, and finish our lives together. When or how, I dunno, but it will happen. then some sparks will fly. But I'm more curious what happens next... after the visit down below, after the rise above, after the clarion call to the grave and the catching up of the faithful few... then what... do we finally make good on the return? Or was that just poetry? Because if it is poetry, if that's all we are living on this planet, then Jimi Hendrix had it right.. life really is just a joke.

This was the whole point behind the holy ghost becoming the man Jesus. Remember Jesus walking out on the water in the middle of a storm? What was that? Do you really think Jesus walked all the way from shore? What for? Limitations? The holy ghost just appeared on the water in the middle of that storm, then walks up to the boat and it is Jesus... and what did the apostles think? They thought they saw a ghost, which they did. Then Jesus comes up to the boat and says fear not it is me... right. Peter says, If it is you... ask me to come out on the water with you. Because he's talking to a ghost, get it? A ghost that just appeared to them in the middle of a storm, and the storm hasn't ended... same idea at the resurrection; Jesus appears to the eleven, and they are scared again, right? Ever see a ghost? scary stuff. and this ghost says, recognize me, it is me, in the flesh. Was it really? Was he really returned to the flesh? Heck no, he visits for short spurts and vanishes right back into the spirit. So what was that all about?

See, when I read the apocalypse, I struggle with whether we are really returning to reign on the earth or whether we just do so in spirit. Did Elijah return to prepare the nation of Israel for its messiah? yes....... in spirit. Ask John, are you Elijah? Nope, he is John. Ask Jesus is John Elijah? Yep he's Elijah. Which is it? Both. Elijah's spirit returns, not his flesh. Now we have 2 witnesses coming. Who are they? The Father and the Son. In the flesh? No, it is the lighting down of their spirit. Is this Jesus returning? yep. Just ask them, ask the Son, are you Jesus? Nope, but his spirit is resting upon me. Get it? So then the 42 month ministry is repeated on steroids and then what? Jesus returns again... okay, which way this time? See my dilemma? Are the saints that live the next 1000 years in the kingdom doing so in spirit or in the flesh? And even if they do take a bodily form... what will that amount to? It isn't a carnal flesh, it doesn't eat, sleep, carry on like this flesh we have now, it doesn't get hot or cold or need to breathe air, it isn't reliving the old flesh; that stuff is gone forever.

But there is a bodily return. The scriptures make that clear. The saints set up a political kingdom and rule politically on earth. But that still doesn't say that the body we do that in is carnal; it isn't, it is a spiritual body. So what kind of presence is that? Isn't that a spiritual return? Anyone thinking your flesh shall be fresh as a child means it will be a carnal child's flesh is nuts, that's just a descriptor of the kind of bodily presence your spirit will have. We will still be ghosts. When I wrote, "do we finally make good on the return? Or was that just poetry?" ... I'm questioning how much life we will have? I'm afraid it won't be very much, certainly not with the struggles our current life has... what will that life consist of? ...how much staying power will our spiritual bodies have? Will we really live down here 24/7/365 for 1000 years? Or will we make an appearance like Jesus did after his resurrection? ... and then just hang around in spirit. Is the kingdom a poetic kingdom; the ruling of the holy spirit in men, or is it a physical kingdom with us in their presence ruling over them? So far, it has been a poetic kingdom, without any political ruling except as an extension of the ideas each of us receive from above. Remember, the kingdom is already started, the only difference the first resurrection makes is political, everyone that has died in the Lord is already resurrected, they already have their robes; their spiritual bodies; what we are waiting for is the manifestation of those bodies on earth, but that still wont change them back from spiritual to carnal; they will still be ghosts.

now, I've scared you.

See here's my problem. If God created us, why would he test us? Is it a grand suduko game to see who will have "staying power" to last 'til the final game? Do those who are raised in a Christian household, indoctrinated into the Christian point of view, singing "Jesus loves the little children," at an advantage over those who have to convert from another source of indoctrination?

This is it, Days: the fruit flies live one day and die. We live 70+ years and die. We like to pretend that there's some cosmic or glory-based diety to save us from the fruit fly's fate. But there's not. We are just fruit flies who think we're greater than they. No one cares if we read the Bible or sing "Jesus loves the little children" - we will die and decompose along with the fruit flies. If we're lucky, we'll decompose and feed the earth; if we're not we'll poison it with our embalming fluids.

What does your strange ideas of "God testing us" have to do with my posts? Where did I write anything remotely close to that? You see God in the post and immediately shoot down your own little drama path, fears, understanding, misunderstanding, whatever. fruit flies? really? everything living has a spirit, but not the same spirit. There's a spirit of life in the earth that returns to the earth... it's all part of the magical stuff we call dirt. So a fruit fly dies and that proves there is no spirit of life in you? So you are what? dead? Or do you just have your own anger drama going with some form of Christian doctrine you endured some where? And it is my job to guess what the hell you are talking about?

I was about to head into the political interaction between the prophets and the 3 faiths they planted and the earth they infected. But you interrupt with fruit flies. right.

Education with profit in mind is not education -
Bingo. They are not teaching us what life is, they are producing workers for the employers. Atheists never figure out that there is a spirit, Christians think the afterlife is the same life they are living, Buddhists think they are winning the battle against evil spirits (fat luck taking on the spirit world by yourself, Billy Jack), Hindus and Catholics tend to follow religion thinking it will grant them a reward in the spirit (like watering a rock every day expecting it to grow into a tree), Jews and Muslims are still following the Law, not even looking for the spirit... in short, no one is learning about life, no one is able to teach about life, the system keeps children busy with dead facts and figures and calculations, attempts to prepare them for employment, but is totally unaware that human beings are spirit beings that can receive and grow in the spirit... if you find that path, you wont hardly find anyone else on it with you.

I'm sorry I bit your head off, Bobby... its just that I'm so easily derailed, and I was right in the middle of this one. I wanted to show the back and forth of the spirit, the interjection of faith, the result on earth, retrace what God was doing and look at what it built; to get an understanding that all 3 faiths came from the same source, and you pop into the treatise to announce none of it exists, that I'm wasting my time. Okay, I've already walked in the spirit, seen the spirit, and lived the spirit for over 30 years, so I'm the wrong person to spring that on, you might as well interrupt an art class while Renoir is explaining impressionism and announce that there is no paint or colors and everyone in the room is delusional. sure, thanks for that.

As Bobby says Days, carry on. I'm not sure what it is, but even as my page may be different from yours, I sure like the way you express yourself!

Religion sets up doctrinal wars and pretends that the scriptures are words chiseled in stone and then argues over what the message was. Jesus said, "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life" ... it is a movement of the spirit. Remember how Genesis begins? The spirit moved upon the waters. All the faiths were generated by movements of the holy spirit. Moses, Jesus, Mohammed were sent to different peoples; Moses to the Jews, Jesus was "a light to the Gentiles" for the most part, and Mohammed picked up the rest of the flock of Abraham; the Arab world. Each time, the prophet carried the message of the spirit, and each time the result was shaped by the continuous abiding spirit. Take away the spirit from any of the faiths and they vanish. We think the faithful just give up, we see it from our perspective, but I see it from the heavenly perspective; it is driven by the spirit, if the spirit quits, the faith dies; the spirit is the fuel and the faith is the fire. The spirit is sent into the earth and faith results. If the spirit doesn't keep feeding faith, faith dies down. Sometimes there is a surge of spirit in one of the faiths and a huge conflagration results. a wildfire of faith. Like the Renaissance and reformation that followed. The people it is happening to, don't necessarily understand it. Afterwards, dead scholars come along and split hairs, look at what was recorded, but they dont understand that isn't what the movement was all about, that's just what got recorded; the movement was the holy spirit moving amongst humans, if you didn't experience that, you don't know what happened there.

"One day four traveling monks dropped in on Hogen and asked if they could make a fire in his yard to warm themselves. While they were building the fire, Hogen heard them arguing about subjectivity and objectivity. He joined them and said, "There is a big stone sitting over there. Do you consider it to be inside or outside your mind?" One of the monks considered the brightest of the four, stood up and said confidently, "From the Buddhist viewpoint everything is an objectification of mind, so I would say that the stone is inside my mind." "Hmmm," observed Hogen. "Your head must feel very heavy if you're carrying around a stone like that inside it."
That is, a stone is a stone, is a stone.

now, I've scared you.
Not scared at all.
I'm not here to give you answers.
Just thoughts.
Not what I believe necessarily, but what is possible.
We are all Spirits. Souls. Living inside a body in this world gives us experiences and thus, gives the Creator experiences that he can't have being just a ball of energy. Perhaps there are lots of worlds that give the Creator varying experiences. We may be just one of them.

Our Spirit came from the Creator and will return to the Creator having had experiences in different forms. Just like the circle of life that Spirit is created, lives, learns, grows and returns to its source to live, learn, grow again.

The part I haven't been able to quite work through is "Evil". I have no doubt that there is evil. And Evil constantly battles Good for dominance. Is the final outcome known? Is there ever a final outcome or does the battle rage on forever? Is there an Evil God and a Good God? We have learned that God = Love. If that is true, then Evil is not equal to hate. Evil = Fear. I believe that the opposite of Love is Fear. So whether there is an Evil Fear entity or it is just a concept that God Love is working to rid our Spirit of, I don't know.

But our "job" here is to grow past the need for Fear and become pure Love. We aren't necessarily able to achieve this in one lifetime, so maybe our Spirit has many lifetimes. That doesn't mean that Days comes back to live over and over again, but the Spirit dwelling within Days might do that in order for that Spirit to conquer Fear.

The bottom line here is that everything is as it should be. Whatever the reason, this Earth and Earthly life exists for us to learn and it is a brutal testing ground. Whether it is for some grand Good vs Evil (Love vs Fear) battle or just knowledge and experience, we are placed here in a difficult place for a reason.

I am curious.
I look forward to whatever is next but I'm in no hurry to get there.
I feel I am awakening to knowledge right now as never before and I'm not done yet.

So
That's what I think at the moment.

Indeed, Days, and my experience, because different from yours, has no value. Got it. As I said, carry on.

I don't believe it's a test.
It's an experience.

His insistinsence that he's got some sort of personal "pathway" to the truth, isn't positive. It leaves us rabble with nothing to work with.

I am an Atheist and Spiritual Days :)
please take this in the nicest of ways, okay white light?
you are the rarest bird on the planet.
My best friend is Hindu and he has the holy spirit.
I've never felt the need to preach a word to him about Jesus.
But I do want to learn about that elephant god, he's just awesome.
my wife wont let me talk about the elephant god any more, she's just not that objective to handle it, she gets subjective over everything, that's why I love her.
heh
spiritual atheist... total oxymoron. but I'm okay with that.

not at all, I was tired and trying to stay on track... did I mention I was sorry?
Yes, right before you compared yourself to Renoir and implied I was not fit to hold an opposing opinion. If you don't want responses to your posts, perhaps you should label them as exclusive blogs not meant for comment.
