As the Primary elections get closer to coronation of Hillary and seeing who the Republicans pick despite the peoples choice. We will see the use of racism increase...like at Trump rallies. So before you start using racism as a political tool let's set some guidelines.

1. If your use of racism creates a need for racism to exist....Your the racist

2. If you cannot prove a valid example of racism(example: Medgar Evers Civil rights avtivist was shot by Democratic Byron De La Beckwith...then Governor Ross Barnett (D) came to shake hands with De La Beckwith at his trial...That's racism), if you have no real examples...Your the racist.

3. If your the Guy crashing the Trump Rally with a sign yet have no proof...your the racist
* proof wont fit on your sign

4. If you are of a political party that legaized the killing of people of color(See Medgar Evers) and you claim a leopard can change his spots...You the racist...

5. If you use racism in a post or thread which does not include an opportunity for racism to end...Your just promoting racism and you are the racist.

I am suggesting we set guidelines on the P.J. for the use of racism

So before you use racism as a political tool review these guidelines ask yourself will my post suggest that racism should end...or am I just trying to put racism on people or a political party with out valid cause, rethink, replace what you say and put an end to racism. My guess is the answer to this would be down party lines... I hope my guess would be wrong and that we could set guidelines for all.

Agreed the LW uses racism as a political tool, but I said no to having restrictions on their use of racism. Likewise, I believe there should be no restrictions on calling out racists for making racist comments or for advocating racist policies.

Look it's obvious who you are by how you post...If the post doesn't try to end racism or if the post tries to put racism in where it wasn't before...that needs to be called out. They need to be whop they are...but they need to be called out.

Agreed. We have several LW racists who obviously use racism is a political tool and a divisory tool.

ASOTs top 10 thoughts on race and politics

10 - only whites can be racist. if you're non-white, and you hate whites, then you're simply victimized by white privilege

9 - If 99% of black americans vote for Obama, it's not racial motivated.

8 - There is no "historical" seat on the supreme court for a native American. And they were here first.

7 - "other" should be a protected racial designation

6 - so should "mudblood" (with apologies to Harry Potter)

5 - we're allowed to have quotas and affirmative action in the workplace. unless the workplace is called "NFL" or "NBA"

4 - most jurisdictions will not sign off on a white couple adopting a black baby. even an at risk child, or born with substance dependencies. it is believed to interfere with their ability to experience their cultural heritage.

3 - however, there is no policy preventing whites from adopting Asians, or protestants from adopting catholics

2 - is it racist to send black police to patrol inner city neighborhoods? or safer?

1 - why are so many blacks anti-Semitic? Jews never owned plantations.

for racism to end, each and everyone of us needs to....
FIRST acknowledge the bigoted/racist feelings/attitudes that we have.
SECOND one must use each and every day to challenge those racist attitudes/biases.

For racism to you end you need to look at you...not post about others racism, as a lefty you should understand well what I am talking about. You should also look at when you post about racism...how important is it that racism exist to make your point?

several? Isn't that an accurate number of how many lefties we have on the P.J.

Lefty should not be offended by that statement...You did join the party of slavery and segregation...the democrats...I know some of you claim that your not but you are voting for Bernie...who is a democrat...which makes you a democrat.

Nope.
I am for very light moderation.
The Lefties here get offended way too easily. They are a bunch of crybabies. I will not match that by becoming a crybaby. If they want to use racism as a political tool.........bring it on...........and I will hurt their feelings by pointing out what tools they are.

I have actually had Lefties here trying to guilt me into ligntening up on them. One asked me to "help him" by making a disclaimer every time I said something bad about Lefties. I needed to say "Lefties (except for [insert his name here]) are stupid. That would help him control his Lefty-out-of-control temper. Yep. Pathetic? Oh you betcha.

So no guidelines. Lefties can screech about racism to their heart's content. That just proves to me that they are secret racists.

that's what I said.....everyone needs to do the first step and then the second step.....for the rest of our lives.

it's important to point out racism when we see it.....because too many racists are in denial.

Actually you need to work on you..I didn't say everyone...just you work on you and you worry about you...because I promise that's how it will get done.

It not really as important to point racism when we see it as it is to remove the reason or need for racism...(ex : you can't fix stupid...err lefty err the democratic)...but when a political party, and in this instance we will use the democratic...who bases part of their political ideology on racism...ie : Trump is a racist...so you can't vote Trump...but if there isn't racism then to the people the democratic looks like an idiot...but if there is racism then the point is valid, thus making it better for the democratic if there is racism than not...that needs to be removed. People need to talk about Obama's 10 trillion dollar debt without being called a racist...and political parties need to remove the need for racism.

if you don't believe that WE ALL need to take stock of our racist/bigoted attitudes and challenge them each and every day in order to end racism, then you're not serious about ending racism.

Yes, we ALL have to work on OURSELVES first. Me telling you to stop being racist isn't going to stop you from being racist. YOU have to do that yourself. If you don't work on yourself, then you're not serious about ending racism either.

Part of the problem is that we have to get beyond this idea that racism is a matter of individual goodness or badness, or that being accused of racism is a more serious problem than systemic patterns of racial advantage or disadvantage.

You seem to be saying that 1) racism no longer exists; 2) anyone who says racism exists looks stupid; and 3) Democrats are racist. To me, the claim that Trump's policies may reinforce racism is a valid criticism, and I think that claim is strong even though I don't think racism is the centerpiece of Trump's campaign.
