So, what should be done with the "dreamers"?

You know - those people who were brought here by their illegal immigrant parents, many of whom have lived here for decades and never known any country besides the USA.

Should we:

A. Deport them immediately

B. Deport them only if Congress does not pass a "dreamer law" within 6 months

C. Allow them to stay

What say ye?

It's kinda disappointing that congressional democrats don't have a rough draft of a DREAM act available to the public at this point.

I'll go with this:

We need immigration reform that will secure our borders, and punish employers who exploit immigrant labor; reform that finally brings the 12 million people who are here illegally out of the shadows by requiring them to take steps to become legal citizens We must assert our values and reconcile our principles as a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws.

I'll be honest with you, when I see Mexican flags waved at pro-immigration demonstrations, I sometimes feel a flush of patriotic resentment. When I’m forced to use a translator to communicate with the guy fixing my car, I feel a certain frustration.

You aren't forced to do anything. You can go to an American mechanic or fix your own car.

They have the original.
I'd add giving the DREAMERS permanent resident status.
The original was 'temporary'...it was good for 2 yrs, then Congress should have had something permanent in place. That didn't happen, so the original is no longer valid. Why didn't all these 'dreamers' that are now in their 20's, 30's 40's take steps to become legal by now?? Too lazy? Do some now have criminal records and know if they did anything they'd be deported? I don't believe we should just GIVE them legal status. Make them go through the steps to become legal, and let them stay while they're doing this. If they don't want to do it legally, then deport them.

That dodge was particularly cowardly.

Let me know if you can answer the question.

They can't stay here and "become legal" under current law.

So, what should we do with them? A,B or C?

"A" Follow the law.

If that creates an undue burden on your conscience then let this time period be a lesson to you: Follow the law, even when you'd rather not.

I put any hardship this creates squarely at your feet. Liberal policy created this mess. Conservative principles will bring us out.

If it's no longer valid, why is Trump enforcing it AND accepting renewals for another 2 years? Hmm?

Your ugly bigotry/racism is noted.

If dreamers were brought into our country during GOP presidencies, do you still blame liberals?
