Ok folks. Let's see who knows anything about the separation of powers between the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of the federal government.

Vote, then explain your answer in the thread.

Nope. But the Trump/Barr would just violate the law. As Barr did already when “deciding” the obstruction question that only Congress can decide under the Constitution.

So. You finally admit the Attorney General has NO POWER to tell congress what to do or how to do it...yet you still insist that he will prevent them from impeaching Trump.

Pray tell us, oh mentally deficient one...HOW exactly will Barr prevent congress from impeaching Trump? Details.

I will ask you again to show what Barr did that you think was illegal, and cite the statute you think he violated.

And don’t come back with your idiotic lies about how you already did. You have not.

Nope. Barr and Trump have no legal authority to do that. But they will still do it. See my answer to your question in the other thread where you ask the same question.

HOW, *edited*?

EXACTLY what will Barr and Trump DO to PREVENT congress from impeaching Trump, and why will congress just lie down and die and accept it?
Be specific, *edited*.

No. Just as the president has no authority to declare a state of emergency just because he doesn’t like the way Congress voted, or to ignore court rulings against his policies, or use antitrust law and libel suits to coerce media into reporting favorably on him.

I paste in above my answer from the other thread in which you ask the exact same question. You seem to be too dimwitted to find it.

Courts have NO JURISDICTION to interfere with the internal workings of Congress, *edited*. Strike 1.

COOPERATION of the party being impeached is NOT NEEDED. Strike 2.

*Edited*
You’re pretending that Trump would be constrained by the Constitution or that he hasn’t publicly announced his plan to pack the courts with judges so he can shop for a hack willing to overstep his authority and rewrite the law to favor Trumpism.

Again, your confusion arises out of taking about what is lawful. I’m not suggesting that the Trump/Barr antics are lawful. Quite the contrary - they are unlawful. But as we see every day with Trump, he is not concerned with laws. He would follow the path I laid out and tie everything up in the courts.

What action by Barr is illegal, and what specific statute did he violate?

I predict you will try to cover this lie with even more lies.

you're as stupid as *Edited*. and that is saying something.

The courts have NO JURISDICTION over how congress operates internally. The courts CANNOT stop, delay or in any way interfere with an impeachment, period. You could pack every court in the country with conservative leaning judges, and it means exactly jack shit.

The courts cannot stop an impeachment. A sitting President cannot stop an impeachment. An Attorney General cannot stop an impeachment.

If you think a sitting President can do an end run around the process and just magically declare no impeachment, and that Congress would just say 'Oh, ok, never mind then', you're quite simply a moron.

If he's looking for hack judges willing to rewrite the law, why don't he try the 9th? Oh, they're leftist hacks, but that's different.

Again, you are assuming Trump would be constrained by the law. All he needs is one hack judge to say that Congress has no power to impeach ... never mind what the Constitution says because he found a hack willing to ignore it ... and any member of Congress who purports to impeach him anyway he can have arrested for treason and thrown in Guantanamo.

You’re always selling your lawless cult leaders short. Barr’s lawless “finding” of vindication on obstruction was done for a reason - to impede impeachment proceedings. I explained to you in detail the ways in which the Trump/Barr cabal would do it. You just ignore what I tell you and harp about what we agree on - that their antics would be illegal. That would not stop your lawless cult leaders.

For example, your cult leaders could argue that impeachment charges on obstruction would violate the double jeopardy clause and tie things up for ages. Right?

What law did Barr violate?

List the statute.
