A Mississippi man headed to jail after confessing to burning a cross outside the home of an African-American family said he wishes he could take it all back.

Louis Revette, 38, was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison on Tuesday, months after he and a co-conspirator pleaded guilty to carrying out the racist act. Revette was convicted on one count of using fire in the commission of a federal felony, interference with housing rights and a federal civil rights violation in the October 2017 incident, the Clarion Ledger reported.

Good, he should go to jail. There is no reason for something like that in this nation.

Late... The story of this democratic has already been told.

“I thought that ‘those days’ were over,” she told federal prosecutor Julia Gegenheimer of the duo’s crime. “This act has brought it all back.”

Those days were when Democrats ruled the South. But lets stay on topic...You think he is a Republican and you blame Trump.

The Alt right/KKK is part of Trump's base. Didn't you know that?
How many people are in the KKK?
Number of KKK Members today. Even though Ku Klux Klan membership is secret, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) estimates there are between 5,000 and 8,000 KKK members today, distributed in nearly 180 different Klan factions (or chapters). Most of these chapters are located in the southern region of the US.

1. They are not anybody's base... There is not enough to anybody's base.

2. This is their reason for being.

The first Klan flourished in the Southern United States in the late 1860s during Reconstruction, then died out by the early 1870s. It sought to overthrow the Republican state governments in the South, especially by using violence against African-American leaders

Funny the KKK and antifa flags are the same color.

1) I rarely watch the TV news, So I didn't see it there.
2) I didn't see the story here on PJ until today.
3) I never heard anyone talk about it.
Are those good answers?
I don't watch the news either

I never heard anyone either

But I did see the story and researched what the democratic did.

Julie's post was my first time hearing about this.
Trump is losing his "My African-American."

Cheadle...became disillusioned by what he called the GOP’s “pro-white agenda,” and the party rallying around Trump after his marathon of racist attacks against Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and “The Squad.”

Though Cheadle wouldn’t call Trump “racist” outright, he did say the President has a “white superiority complex” that’s led him to nominate white men to the judicial bench almost exclusively.

“To stay on this ship now, as a black Republican, I couldn’t do it,” he said.
