In a major win for the Trump administration, the Supreme Court issued an order late Wednesday ending all injunctions that had blocked the White House's ban on asylum for anyone trying to enter the U.S. by traveling through a third country, such as Mexico, without seeking protection there.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals – long a liberal bastion that has been aggressively reshaped into a more moderate court by the Trump administration – handed the White House a partial victory in the case on Monday by ending the nationwide injunction against the asylum policy. However, the 9th Circuit kept the injunction alive within the territorial boundaries of the circuit, which encompasses California, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, Idaho, Guam, Oregon and Washington.

Wow. The liberal masses are speechless. For once.

I guess they don't fully understand the precedent this sets. No lone judges will be able to stop national policy of a President, of EITHER PARTY, simply because they disagree with said policy.

It reestablishes the rule of law.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.....handed Trump a victory. Let that sink in for a moment.

A watershed moment.

Did you miss this part?

Even Fox is lukewarm on this "watershed moment " decision but you gotta claim a BIG WIN when you can, even when it isn't. I am glad Trump got a partial victory, maybe now the base can smile for a couple of hours............NOT ................onto the next firing up issue.

So tell me how does this impact your life right now, today?

Sure, another victory because armed with a sharpie - all he does is win !
So happy Trump is shrinking the military, not wanting to be world police, diverting money from military to the wall, banning vaping. So on the slippery slope he is on, cigarettes will be next because they kill 100's of thousands of people, then he will come after your guns, yes Trump is probably going to be the dem nominee for president in 2020.

you missed the 'while it continues to go thru lower courts'.

It will end up getting overturned completely. The SCOTUS ruling is evidence of this.

The Supreme Court weighs in when executive orders get challenged in court. This is the reason this one went in front of the court. Not the brightest bulb in the box, eh?
idc, we will get an executive order overturning all Trump's executive orders in Jan. 2021.

Trump is going to write new executive orders overturning previous ones? Weird.

And like I said, the SCOTUS will decide on which executive orders are lawful and which are not. You have no idea how the process works. Edited

Executive orders are only bad. You will understand when the next Dem. is POTUS. Just like a President can order war if he wants to. Trump has set one hell of a precedent and Congress just play with their puds. Closer to a dictatorship every day.

By the way I am FOR sending illegals back... the SAME day.
