Nothing Warms My Heart Like This

So it's a giant nothing burger.

I doubt that, as I work for a non-profit. Seems like you should, too, unless you're just blowing smoke about how much you despise "capitalism".
Bosses at non-profits always have seem to have real big yachts.

I personally know the CEO of my company, and he doesn't own a yacht. It seems like you're carrying around a lot of guilt about working for a greedy drug corporation that's very likely making massive profits selling necessary drugs to sick people. You can change jobs, you know.

I could, I am in constant contact with headhunters. Just takes the right economic package, and I am out. Not out of guilt or displeasure with my employer. Out of self-interest, like a good capitalist.

As coincidences have their way.....

I just heard that my first boss, from grade 7 until I graduated high school, has passed away.

We weren't exactly friends but kept in touch though-out the years. When I contacted him about three years ago (after about a decade or more of silence between us) I said "remember me" ? He replied: "I'd never forget you" Not sure that was compliment. lol

Might be one of things that many don't get to appreciate.... I mean he was at my Mom's 80th birthday party, by my invitation.

that would be why they cant afford anything, yes.

employees are not capitalists
I beg your pardon, sir. I use them for capital gain just as much as they use me.....

It's kinda like working for GM (under the 'union') and getting top dollar wages..... so the employee can afford to buy the cars they're building.

I think we've all heard the sales pitch by now. Link takes the data out to 2018.

The problem with capitalism in America is that the people are not to offer a critique of it, apparently our version of capitalism cannot withstand scrutiny. Even to question is to "despise" [shudder].

I disagree. Your fellow Democrats deride capitalism everyday here. Most of your presidential candidates have made criticism of capitalism the centerpieces of their campaigns.

Simple.

a) There's the wealth redistribution everyone's always incorrectly blathering on about

b) There's the result of half a century of Powell Memorandum economic system restructuring

c) Capital versus the people via policy over time

d) During a time when capital required more workers to inflate profit margin growth that it does now or ever will going forward

Never been a believer in the system pard, you know that. You have but one arrow in your rudimentary quiver; partisanshitheadism. You simply can't discuss anything else but the party that won't let your party achieve what they've gotten you to believe they could achieve for you.
You claimed Americans aren't allowed to criticize capitalism, and I pointed out that your fellow Democrats do it constantly, and your presidential candidates have made it part of their campaigns. So were you lying, or just repeating DNC propaganda?

All i know is how to make it work for me.

Sure there are all kinds of formulas, graphs, history, speculation, etc.... for this case and the other.... Hell, my own Uncle (who has a patented formal for something that's related to making money) is a game player in 'the capitalist' system.

Am I worried about it? Nope. Should I be worried about it? It's debatable.

As we all see repeatedly, capital shits itself when anyone represents the interests of the people.

Yes, see, "both" parties do this constantly. I think we've made progress today, how are you feeling?

Wall Street loves socialism by the way, and Wall Street thanks you for your participation and cooperation.

Not to worry at all, and yes that is why it will persist and why concentrated capital will always lay down our laws. I have no expectations whatsoever that the unsubstantial people will ever coalesce and take on concentrated wealth and power. As I say, we won't even stand up when we realize our aristocracy sex traffics children.

We're too busy competing against one another to ever align. It's quite the societal subjugation mechanism, this economic system.
