The Christian God condones abortion

Ten biblical episodes and prophecies provide an unequivocal expression of God's attitude toward human life, especially the ontological status of "unborn children" and their pregnant mothers-to-be. Brief summaries:

• A pregnant woman who is injured and aborts the fetus warrants financial compensation only (to her husband), suggesting that the fetus is property, not a person (Exodus 21:22-25).

• The gruesome priestly purity test to which a wife accused of adultery must submit will cause her to abort the fetus if she is guilty, indicating that the fetus does not possess a right to life (Numbers 5:11-31).

• God enumerated his punishments for disobedience, including "cursed shall be the fruit of your womb" and "you will eat the fruit of your womb," directly contradicting sanctity-of-life claims (Deuteronomy 28:18,53).

• Elisha's prophecy for soon-to-be King Hazael said he would attack the Israelites, burn their cities, crush the heads of their babies and rip open their pregnant women (2 Kings 8:12).

• King Menahem of Israel destroyed Tiphsah (also called Tappuah) and the surrounding towns, killing all residents and ripping open pregnant women with the sword (2 Kings 15:16).

• Isaiah prophesied doom for Babylon, including the murder of unborn children: "They will have no pity on the fruit of the womb" (Isaiah 13:18).

• For worshiping idols, God declared that not one of his people would live, not a man, woman or child (not even babies in arms), again confuting assertions about the sanctity of life (Jeremiah 44:7-8).

• God will punish the Israelites by destroying their unborn children, who will die at birth, or perish in the womb, or never even be conceived (Hosea 9:10-16).

• For rebelling against God, Samaria's people will be killed, their babies will be dashed to death against the ground, and their pregnant women will be ripped open with a sword (Hosea 13:16).

• Jesus did not express any special concern for unborn children during the anticipated end times: "Woe to pregnant women and those who are nursing" (Matthew 24:19).

Do you advocate adhering to all Old Testament law? Please say yes...
I know where you are going with that but the obvious flaw in your argument is that your god personally condoned such acts according to the bible, just as he condoned and personally committed genocide. The new testament in no way suggests that God changed his mind about such things and even if he did that would contradict his supposed omniscience.

Fetus Fetish of Frigid Fundamentalists

God would not an unwanted child to be born only to live in misery; he would take the soul directly to heaven. God would not have created such a strong sex drive and then punished those driven by it with an unwanted child. Otherwise, He would not be a loving God, and therefore no God at all.

Some Genos Need to Be Cided

The Flood legends actually referred to the extermination of the Neanderthal. They were extremely vicious thrill-killing subhuman predators.

Superficial academic minds don't see that; they are caught up relating it to a flood caused by the last of the Ice Age. They're too simple-minded to see that there are two narratives to the story.

Also, thieves got the death penalty. We should follow that advice, too.

How did you reach the conclusion that the flood referred to the extermination of neanderthals?

Begging the question, you still insist it had to be an actual flood rather than a symbol of mass-punishment that could have been achieved by any method. If you want to stick with a liquid image, call it a bloodbath.

And the whole reason for it was the evil thugs who attacked and looted the human race. That fits in with the Neanderthal, and gives divine justification for eliminating any other threat to human progress that exists today.

The literary hero of confused and picked-on adolescents, William Golding, did write a novel, The Inheritors, claiming that the Neanderthal were warm and fuzzy humanoids who were wiped out by the meanie Cuomo sapiens. That kind of New Age touchy-feely attitude is what blocks you from considering my analysis as even being a logical possibility.

You willfully mischaracterize these stories in the Bible. You expose yourself as fundamentally unwilling or incapable of understanding Christianity and its probably the former since you just cut and pasted this.

I see, so the flood was not a literal one in your view.
I am not under the impression that neanderthals were particularly warm or fuzzy. I am just not familiar with what leads you to the conclusion that the flood myth was about neanderthals specifically.

So let's see any evidence whatsoever that God is anti-abortion.

The threads have been made some time ago and cut and paste crayon arguments weren't had. Abortionists such as yourself are simply Molech worshippers. The sanctity of life in the Bible is clear. The devaluing of human life in the form of abortion especially in black neighborhoods (PP targets these people) is directly relatable to persistent community shootings in Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlanta, et al. Abortion validates cultural values expressed in music that is destructive of individual humanity. It is evil to support abortion. And that can't be made clearer than by the fact that 50% of the women seeking an abortion on any given day already had at least one other abortion.

I see, so you have nothing but absurd assertions including that I am a molech worshiper whereas I have direct biblical quotations. You are the type of person that boils his spaghetti after he puts the sauce on it.

You had a crayon styled cut and paste post. I gave you the summary of the Christian POV of the discussion that's been had over and over again and you have the nuts to bitch. That's rich.

You have really done a good job of representing the Christian point of view buddy. "You worship molech if you disagree with me because Christianity says so, even though the bible says the exact opposite".
That makes you sound totally sane btw.

You were given more than enough meat to chew on with this.

The bible speaks for itself. Thank God (not that he exists) that Christians are too stupid to read and follow their own fvcking book, which condones countless forms of barbarity.

I seeing that you don't have a single argument in anything you say. You just assert your backwards, primitive opinions that you pick up from PragerU vids and refuse to have a debate when backed into a corner. You are an anti-intellectual troglodyte cretin repeating lazy fallacies about socialism when you have never studied socialism itself, only what the right says about socialism. You are an insanely idiotic little ass-nugget who simply ignores any bible verse you don't like and claims to be Christian. If you were a real Christian who follows the bible you would be murdering infidels and gays etc. just like they do in the Islamic theocracies. The only difference between you and the Muslims you probably hate is that they actually follow their book and when Christians followed their book what you got was shit like the inquisition.
