Like the hotel you stayed at in NYC? Maybe next time bed-bugs will be there

Unemployment is paid for w/each pay check, but, $600 extra for 4 months, who's going to work when they can make more not working? I've never drawn a unemployment check due to being self-employed, yet my employees can and through experience of those on unemployment asking for a job while on unemployment if I pay them under the table barks my ass.

Remove the $600 and I have no problem, people on unemployment already make more money than when working while staying at home, no gas to buy to get to work and they don't have to prove they physically looked for work...……….
You've never been on unemployment but think you know something about it. It comes out to be about half of your previous paycheck.

Translation: if no one gets unemployment, workers make less money and I don’t have to raise wages to force essential workers to put their lives at risk feeding people.

You don't understand yet, fvck the people, that's the calculation.
People like @Raoul_Luke believe that part of "clearing the market" has to do with falling wages. No jobs, I can pay you less to come back to work. That means I can restart my business with lower costs. The great depression was probably the first time government tried to strong arm businesses into not dropping wages.

Back then there was no safety net, no unemployment, no SS. That was the ideal for the purist capitalist. Let the people at the bottom take the biggest hit. The downward spiral that followed was a disaster that cost lives.

The people had better get up, our "leadership" is societally cannibalistic.

Well. Of course they did.

No more blaming Trump.

This is ON YOU, Democrats.

There is another vote (thankfully) because of McConnell's strategy. But Democrats as a full group voted against the stimulus.

This stimulus package is SOCIALISM isn't Jen? Or is it OK now since Republicans are pushing it?

That's what I said, Jack.
Are you a Crimson Tide fan? I coached a kid in baseball at West Hills Pony here in southern California for 4 years between ages 8-12 he was a great kid from a nice family named Greg McElroy. He moved with his family to Texas when he was 13 and became a great high school QB who later took the Crimson Tide to a National Championship.

When I was a kid, I saw Joe Namath play for Beaver Falls in McKeesport Pa. I also had the privilege of hanging out and drinking with the GREAT SNAKE STABLER and Jon Matuzak a couple times in New York and LA. What a legendary NCAA Football program they have there in Alabama. Bear Bryant, LeRoy Jordan, Namath, Stabler, Nick Saban and countless other All Americans. I sure hope this virus does NOT screw up College Football this year.

The republicans crammed their own favorite "stuff" into the Obama stimulus. It went from $800 billion in spending to a massive tax cut (1/3rd of $787b) and the rest for economic stimulus.
Republicans' "stuff" was actually things that went towards helping the American people in their time of need. It wasn't nonsense like pandering to illegal aliens, fiddling with election laws, or telling everyone what grade of fuel that had to use in the year 2050 while we were facing a steep economic recession from a Chinese pandemic. Republicans aims are singular....directly help Americans and do things to address this crisis. Dems are f'ing with the American psyche at the worst moment possible. It's evil.

Absolutely, I didn't remember McElroy so I Googled his name. He won the 2010 national Championship for the TIDE.
My wife and daughter and I lived in Mobile in the 70s and I became a fan. I always liked Bear Bryant, Joe Namath and Kenny Stabler. Now I am a rabid, irrational Crimson Tide fan. My wife and daughter are LSU fans so there is much contention in the house during football season.
I have Alabama bumper stickers on my car. I wear an Alabama Football cap and hoodie and have the Big

on my E-Mail. In a state where people worship the Longhorns and the Aggies, I catch a lot of grief from a lot of folks.
It must be great to have coached such a kid and see the success he had after that.

Can you refute it? If not, which we know you can't, then stfu. Go back to your conspiracies about Parnut and Fruitman and Russian collusion. That left wing insanity was hilarious.

How exactly will a $500 billion secret slush fund under the President’s oversight help us?

How sad that you keep getting repeatedly duped by fake left wing news. The "$500 billion slush fund"(which is actually $425 billion) in question had nothing to do with the President at all. That was lie No. 1. The second lie was that Mnuchin got to be the one administering it. It is actually administered by the apolitical Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Read the words in the bill:

Set up directly to help the American people and not controlled by the President at all. But, hey, you've got phony propaganda to spin, huh? And too damn dumb to actually research it. Foolish left winger.
