It will be a happy day when John Brennan goes to prison.
He claims he has nothing to hide.

He has had a few problems in the past, however:

You may recall, as director of the CIA, Brennan oversaw an operation of illegal spying on a staffer of the legislative branch of the United States government. At least five agency officials under his watch broke into Senate computer files, viewing drafts of a report on torture and reconstructing emails of at least one staffer. Brennan would attempt to cover up the agency’s actions by doubling down, blaming the Senate, and pushing to fire at least one staffer charged with investigating his agency.

It wasn’t until the CIA’s inspector general confirmed this wrongdoing that Brennan began negotiating with the senators about owning up to the spying (which we still don’t fully understand). Even then, however, he was lying about it to the public. When asked about the CIA hacking into Senate computers at an appearance at the Council on Foreign Relations, the intelligence chief responded that “nothing could be further from the truth. I mean we wouldn’t do that. I mean, that’s just beyond the – you know, the scope of reason in terms of what we would do.” Brennan went on to contend: “Let me assure you the CIA was in no way spying on [the committee] or the Senate.”

So, there's that.

If you read the link I provided, it explains the conditions that must be met to bring a conspiracy charge. Remember, collusion isn't a legal term. Collusion in criminal law is conspiracy.
Mueller couldn't pin down a conspiracy charge....and it's explained in the Mueller report why not.
Why did the Trump campaign have over 120 contacts with Russians? They were discussing the campaign. That's incriminating.
That statute is irrelevant if you cant even get to first base. Mueller said no one was coordinating. You can't collude with coordinating. There was no crime.....there wasn't even your distorted version of collusion. There was nothing. As the 53 witnesses all testified to.

All the contacts were perfectly legal. In what tiny brain does perfectly legal become "incriminating"? ROFL. And, of course, if you part of a campaign during an election year you are probably going to have it brought up. The dumb posts on this forum abound.

I don't expect that Obama will ever be held accountable (by the American jurisprudence system) for his crimes against the American people. But my hope is that karma will come around to visit him one day and his bill will come due.
Talk about bills coming due, Trump is about ready to reap his just deserts too. Trump is a guy who had everything handed to him on a silver platter has spent his whole adult life cheating and scamming anyone stupid enough to do business with him. Then he oozed his way into our government which he is using as a personal ATM for self enrichment and self glorification for himself, his family and his crooked cronies. He is about to get his just deserts soon.

These are all hoaxes and witch hunts against the truly ethical and honest Donald Trump. Angry Democrats hatched all of these evil plots....Lol

Conservative Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin explained in her Monday piece that President Donald Trump’s latest conspiracy theory about former President Barack Obama is really just another attempt to bring back birtherism to distract from his coronavirus failures.

New York Times, Charles Blow claimed that former President Barack Obama “lives” in Donald Trump’s head because the current president knows his predecessor is everything he wishes he could be.
By which Blow means, “intellectual, articulate, adroit, contemplative and cool.”

Certainly counts as circumstantial evidence.

For it to be a conspiracy there only has to be an understood agreement of favorable treatment if the election goes "our" way....Somewhere between a wink and a nod.

It hurts my head to have to go over and over this. I'd prefer to smack the Trumpies upside their heads. They have Trump's narrative and are blind to the truth.

Wow, whether intentionally or not, you just described Barack Obama more perfectly than I thought possible from a Lib.

"But...TRUMP!" There it is again. Who doesn't love a good threadjack?

Investigate them all, and let the chips fall where they may. I'm fine with that.
You wrote that you prefer transparency and yet I've never seen a complaint from you related to the lack of it in this administration...just thought I'd point it out.

I also haven't complained about the Van Buren administration.

For the record, I'm fine with investigating politicians of any stripe. Can you make the same claim?

Yes.

What I'm against is investigations that are in search of a crime. We knew what the crime was during Nixon's days. We knew what the crime was in the Iran/Contra investigation...not so clear for WhiteWater or Benghazi (other than the obvious terrorists attacking the consulate)....

We knew what the crime was at the start of Crossfire...the Russians had broken US law. What we needed to find out was whether or not the Trump campaign had encouraged that crime in any way.
