She’s 22 and undoubtedly it’s her weekend activities with her newfound freedom that is the source of it. As demonstrated in Arizona yesterday, young people ain’t taking this shiite seriously. The bad thing is that she was tested twice. A blood test was negative. The nasal swab test, taken the next day, came back positive. Thank God we have been requiring temperature checks, masks, social distancing and frequent hand sanitizing here at the office. Here in Harris County, masks are required of employees and customers in businesses until midnight, June 30th. I am the last to leave every day and I thoroughly wipe this place down. In my search for disinfectant wipes and spray for my house,I found enough the last few weeks to restock our office pretty good too. My employee already missed a few days work waiting for her test results. By the time she comes back from quarantine, all her sick days and vacation days for the rest of this year will be used up.

Time to shut down again.

We had one employee travel to see his grandmother...We wouldn't schedule hours for him for a week and he demanded sick pay...but he had none accrued. Bummer for him.

Just poked around the 'net a little and found this. More good news.

It's too bad you can't fire her for endangering the rest of your staff and your customers.

Time to shut down again.
We never had to close. We were deemed a "financial services company" and were exempt. We've been doing the C-19 drill since late March when the stay-in-place orders started going into effect here in Texas.

Shut down that newfound freedom to stop the spread.

Daughter in law was exposed at the Veterinary clinic where she works....co-worker had no symptoms and tested negative the day before....Now they have to transfer all animals to other clinics and shutdown for a day to completely disinfect....

I've been interested in some of the sprays or ultraviolet lights that seem to offer a good alternative to wipe downs.

Tell that to Governor Abbott and County Judge Hidalgo. The only control I have is from 8am-5pm,M-F, within the confines of my business location.
Sorry to hear that bd,

The biggest problem with Covid-19 is that no one knows exactly how easily the virus is spread- which is why we need to continually be diligent in our efforts to slow it down.

My cousins wife tested positive. My cousin has it worse than the wife but they didn't test him, they just said he has it but didn't count him in the stats. This is Los Angeles, California.

So the data still isn't accurate.

I think after the protests and looting was allowed there won't be anymore shutdowns. How can you allow one but not the other?

One is a fight for justice.

The other one is to get a haircut.

See the difference?

Allow one what? Were you thinking these people filed for permits?

At least it appeared as though most protesters were wearing masks...looters and rioters get what they deserve if they were infected....

I see just the opposite.

One is a fight for survival and to keep your business open, one is almost meaningless and could be done after the pandemic is over or through proper channels.

Do you see the difference?

There are worse things in the world than being called a hypocrite... like allowing the spread COVID because you are afraid people will say you are hypocrite.

Absolutely unbelievable that protests are allowed but small businesses get closed. I guess the protesters don't care about public health.
