CDC say mask mandate indoors lifted for the fully vaccinated.

OK Trumpies it's either get vaccinated, or lie about being vaccinated.

Like its even really a choice, eh ?

Since it is not about the science, the Democrat governors of states such as Oregon, Washington, California, etc. do not allow us remove our masks. In fact, they still tell us to wear masks OUTSIDE - like when hiking in a forest in a State Park, etc. I had one of their junior NAZI deputies (a control freak leftist) scream at my for not wearing a mask WHILE I WAS ON THE BEACH IN 25 MPH WINDS.

It has become a talisman for nutcases.

(Yes, I and my family am fully vaxxed).

Power...especially executively-declared “emergency powers”... is a tough thing to relinquish, I guess.

The states left to fend for themselves when it came to handling the pandemic. So you can't expect instant dismantling of its own guidelines when the CDC changes their guidelines. But while they are in place just follow them until they are removed.

Consider the virus as a cup of poison. You might not be afraid to drink it. But the only reason you have the cup is to pass it on to someone else close to you, and so on, and so on.

The CDC AND THE WHO have said that in-person schooling is good - and they said that MONTHS ago. We’re still not in school full time...and they are hedging about the certainty of next fall even.

Dude, stop sugarcoating it. This ain’t “science”. Good Lord, is there ANY water you won’t carry for Democrat politicians?!?

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
And lied about the (miniscule) chances of getting Covid outdoors in order to have ua all wear masks when walking alone in the woods.

There is exactly ZERO correlation between interventions and the spread of the virus:

ar2.jpg (2048×1118) (mises.org)

The CDC has been wrong about everything to date and the whole ""wear a mask outdoors" proves it - if the indoor mask wearing had worked, there would have been no out of control spread to pin the outdoor masking on. So vaccinated or not, wearing a mask not only makes you look stupid, it, well, actually makes you stupid.

People like you are fools for swallowing their swill hook, line and sinker.

The HUGE spike in death that started in Nov only subsided to today's level early last month.

The number of active infections is still high

1620951686960.png

And new infection are still 4 times what the CDC wants to see which is a target of around 10k/ day.

Today is a bold step and here you are complaining that more step haven't been taken.

How about better safe than sorry like India, because there are still enough unvaccinated uninfected people around to start another ER crisis in a lot of places.

So what is the point of all these masks conspiracies if the masks are gone and your protest against them had nothing to do with them being gone and all you lost a bit of personal convenience for a while ?

I looked at the actual study. They say that people exercising their own efforts to stop the spread when numbers started to rise. Yes, the responsible people did. But if you are going to pretend that your gaggle of Covid deniers would up and do so because others were doing so or because they wanted to stop the spread they did not believe was happening in the first place. You and that study are kidding themselves.

If doing the right thing wouldn't have made a difference then why did Korea have a 100x better outcome than the US ?

More like it is half-assing the job is hardly better than doing nothing at all.

Why did Korea fare so well? Probably a high degree of natural immunity from previous bouts of SARS:

SARS (10 Years After) | Disease or Condition of the Week | CDC

And a very low obesity rate:

CDC study reveals connection between obesity and COVID-19 hospitalizations | ABC27

Oh, also probably their climate:

Of course, you aren't the least bit interested in facts, which is why your posts (unlike mine) are totally devoid of factual citations.

So how the f*ck do you reconcile the super surge in november while we were all wearing masks and working from home? Do you even think about the shit you post or are you just throwing shit against the wall and hoping some will stick?

Infections are not based upon obesity. 100x fewer infections with much more tracking and tracing per capita.

The difference in death is not that great either

US = .0178 death per infection

Korea = .0145 deaths per infection.

How does one have immunity from a novel virus that has never infected a human being before 2019 ?

Really ? The climate in Korea is that much different from China, where the virus originated ?

Every major country of any size did better than us.

The only ones that didn't have the combined population of Texas

Because people ignored warning and traveled and gathered in groups indoors for the holidays.

Otherwise there would not have been a spike.

What do you think the warnings about traveling and gathering together during the holiday, that you Trumpies, were ignoring were for ?

That is complete bullshit! The "holidays" didn't start in early mid-October (go review your chart) - and regardless, there's a two-week lag time, remember?

Cases are clearly correlated with obesity - I posted a link to the studies. SARS is, well, SARS - immunity from prior infections build up resistance to "novel" versions of the same bug. I thought China was a shining example of good outcomes (you guys can't even keep your chinese propaganda stories straight).

Infections have nothing to do with obesity. Fat or thin the virus can and will infect an unvaccinated human.
The difference in deaths per million were not that large between the US and SK

US .0178 deaths per infection
SK .0145 deaths per infection

According to WHO there were +8400 SARS infections worldwide, and only 3 of them were in S. Korea.

China did better than we did.

Wuhan is only 500 miles from Seoul, as the crow flies. So the climate issues seems like a red herring as well.

Yeah but then there is this also that predated the holidays.

One contributing factor has been the return to school for US students.
A recent study from the US Centers for Disease Control on the almost 100,000 coronavirus cases reported between 2 August and 5 September - around when college students began their return to school - found that weekly cases among those aged 18-22 increased by 55% nationally.

The problem is that it is an honor system and there are a lotta dishonorable people.
You know people are going to lie about being vaccinated when they have no intention under the Sun to get vaccinated and call anyone who asks for proof a Fascist.

It wasn't just ignorance. It was also dishonorable people who don't give a f**k about others when it comes down to it.
