CDC say mask mandate indoors lifted for the fully vaccinated.

It wasn't just ignorance. It was also dishonorable people who don't give a f**k about others when it comes down to it.
Yes that and a lot of them took that cue from the ultimate example of a person who does not give a f**k about others.

The former leader of this nation who would have let all but 3 of us die if it meant he could win the election with 2 votes to 1.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
Yeah but then there is this also that predated the holidays.

One contributing factor has been the return to school for US students.
A recent study from the US Centers for Disease Control on the almost 100,000 coronavirus cases reported between 2 August and 5 September - around when college students began their return to school - found that weekly cases among those aged 18-22 increased by 55% nationally.
Yeah, and all those students were required to wear masks - you're just not very good at this, are you?

Infections have nothing to do with obesity. Fat or thin the virus can and will infect an unvaccinated human.
The difference in deaths per million were not that large between the US and SK

US .0178 deaths per infection
SK .0145 deaths per infection

According to WHO there were +8400 SARS infections worldwide, and only 3 of them were in S. Korea.

China did better than we did.

Wuhan is only 500 miles from Seoul, as the crow flies. So the climate issues seems like a red herring as well.
Yeah, you're right about that - I should have said serious cases (and deaths) are correlated with obesity. A lot of (skinny) Koreans likely got the disease and simply weren't sick enough to get counted (also because of their recent previous SARS epidemics).

China had a better than US experience with Covid-19 despite it originating there (for the same reasons as Korea, most likely, including climate).

The "dishonorable" people would be those who advocated unreasonable and ineffective restrictions on others out of a wrong headed notion that it was "helping" them.

You got your payback last year when the infection rate and death rate were higher because of people just like you then and now. Y'all showed them.
The fact is there was never any reason to mandate the wearing of masks outdoors, as we now know for a fact:

Fauci acknowledges outdoor COVID-19 transmission 'low,' expects updated mask guidance | Fox News

The only reason it was done was because we were all wearing masks indoors and infections were nevertheless skyrocketing, so they had to do something or admit the indoor masking wasn't effective. It was all, the mask mandates, the social distancing, the lockdowns, all of it, political theater.

I'm getting my payback now by beating you Kovid Karens over the head with all your (proven wrong) stances on this matter.

LOL! As if you "maskhole" Karens "minded your own business" when we chose to go maskless the past year. Get ready for payback, it's a bitch...
What are you doing to protect yourself from the killer Covid variant going around?

In my neck of the woods, a 25 year old man and his 46 year old mother caught Covid in early April, 2021. They both landed in the hospital with mom released after a week after only needing oxygen. The 25 year old has been hospitalized for a month now, is on a ventilator and not expected to make it.

India has done very well with the maskless, reckless approach, don’t you think?

My 92 year old mother in law had it two weeks ago, landed in the hospital, and is now visiting us looking better than ever. Apparently not all anecdotes support your doom and gloom narrative.

I'm protecting myself the same way I have from all illnesses for decades - eat right, exercise and take vitamin D, B12 & Zinc. If you aren't obese, you have little to fear from Covid-19. If you are, I suggest you take steps to address it, because it's not my responsibility to save you from your own bad decisions.

Why was taking this simple effort to prevent infecting others so hard for you. Masks are a reminder to follow the other protocols because it is always right in front of you.

Masks foremost keep you from spreading to others. All it takes is noncompliance by a few or even one person to make masking useless indoors. Then you've created an infected person who will most certainly spread it in their household.

The, "I don't care, because I am going to get it anyway", mindset is fine for you.

But it's the, "I'm going to give it to someone else anyway because I don't care", mindset that is so F'ed up about your thinking here.

Again there was a 0.0033 difference in deaths per infected in Korea vs US, and they did a helluva lot better job of tracking and tracing their infections than we did. Which is why they did 100x better than the US and your claim that a minute number of people from 20 yrs ago provided protection from a virus today with no SARS outbreaks during that intervening time sound ridiculous on its face. Are you claiming SARS protection is hereditary or something ?

The real difference was people like you and especially Trump with your push to just ignore the illnesses and deaths. Even after 600k death here you are singing the same tune you did when this started. You even had the nerve to call others evil for taking the potential of the pandemic seriously.

The problem is that it is an honor system and there are a lotta dishonorable people.
So....If one IS honest when asked and honestly state that they have NOT had the vaccination, then what? Can they be "forced' to wear a mask? How will that happen? What are the "rules', and who would enforce such "rules'? After all, those who have been vaccinated have nothing to fear.....right??? They had the vaccine to protect themselves from illness... so they are now considered safe, and should have no fear of illness as they have done the "right" thing and received their vaccination. We are quickly nearing the timeframe in which those who have had the vaccination, will need the 8 to 12 month booster. What will happen to those who make the decision to NOT get the next round of shots? Will they be exempt from being called "dishonorable"? SO many questions, so few answers. Hopefully, the CDC, Biden and Fauchi can keep us all in line. ;)

It is the same as always. They can kick you out of the establishment for not wearing a mask if you tell them you are not vaccinated.

There will still be other people like you who are not vaccinated. So nothing has changed about the "rules".

No, people who have decided that they will allow new infections to overrun our population are dishonorable and should be labeled as such.

Let me ask you this.

If the virus killed half the people who were infected with it would you change your attitude ?

So "tracking and tracing" was the answer then? Wasn't Germany one of the best at that?

Why, yes, yes they were. And how did that work out for them?

Oops! Tell me again how robust contract tracing is all it took to have a really really good covid-19 outcome, 'kay?
