FBI Director Chistopher Wray on "insurrection"

Mick

The Right is always right
Again, I asked for a link supporting your lie that she supported bail for TERRORISTS, and you responded with an irrelevant link about her supporting bail for PROTESTERS.
Rioters and looters are terrorists, fool. Go away, troll.

Mick

She suggested helping bail for those arrested protesting...not those rioting. There is a difference.
They are behind bars for a reason. They are criminals involved in rioting and looting. Don't even suggest that supporting bailout funds for rioters is okay because a few may have not gotten violent. That's why you are mentally ill.

FBI Director Christopher Wray punched a sizable hole in the Democrats’ narrative about the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol complex. He reminded Democrats that the event was nothing like the “horror” of 9/11. He taught them that the word “insurrection” has a precise legal meaning and that he can’t use the term in the same way that Democrats hug the word. He also noted that there were three groups at the Capitol that day, and not all of them were committing violent crimes.

I've said that over and over.

While Americans are more concerned with violence in their neighborhoods, especially if they live in a Democrat-controlled city trying to defund the police, the leftists in Congress want to focus on the violence at the Capitol that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021.

Democrats have excused violence and mayhem in American cities for the last year. They have advocated to release leftist rioters from jail. Democrat prosecutors have dismissed charges.

Kamala Harris encouraged support for a Minnesota organization that help raise bail for those charged with rioting after the killing of George Floyd.

In that context it must have been jarring to Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee to hear Wray state clearly that the Jan. 6 incident was not comparable to the “horror” of the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

They appeal to the visceral by calling the Jan. 6 incident an “insurrection” even though they know the legal definition is not met.

Democrats, even in the Judiciary hearing, argue that the rioting for the past year is merely a series of peaceful protests and simply an exercise of First Amendment rights, but paint everyone who came to the Capitol on Jan. 6 as “insurrectionists” attempting to take over the government.

More here

Okay let put an end to the whataboutism by saying this.

Trump and the Republicans were soft on this kind of crime and that is the fault of the voters who put them into office.

The Dems will not be soft on this and bringing up Trump and Republicans inability to uphold the rule of law does not hold Dems to your failed policies.

The End.

If you say so. Now you just need a link saying she was collecting bail for rioters and looters ... and not for the unrelated peaceful protesters arrested because the government didn't like the content of their speech.

Raoul_Luke

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
The Unite the Right rally was organized by some of the best-known far-right groups in the country, and widely advertised for exactly what it turned out to be ... just like the "wild" 1/6 rally that Trump promised and exhorted his supporters to attend for months before urging them to do exactly as they did on 1/6. If the FBI was involved at all, it's because many of them were sympathetic to the Trump plot (and delusional enough to think it could succeed). Pretending afterward that they were against it all along is where the ass-covering comes in. The Trump Tower meeting was with real Russian intelligence operatives who arranged a meeting with the goal of helping Trump win the election.
Dream on...

The tweet occurred on June 1st. This is what America was seeing on TV on May 27-30th that she was trying to bail out of jail. THIS was the backdrop of her tweet:

Over a three-night period from May 27 to May 29, 2020, Minneapolis sustained extraordinary damage from rioting and looting—largely along a 5-mile (8.0 km) stretch of Lake Street south of downtown[22]—including the demise of the city's third police precinct building, which was overrun by demonstrators and set on fire.[23] At cost of $350 million,[24] approximately 1,300 properties in Minneapolis were damaged by the rioting and looting,[25] of which nearly 100 were entirely destroyed.[26] Neighboring Saint Paul suffered damages that totaled $82 million and affected 330 buildings, including 37 that were heavily damaged or entirely destroyed, mostly along the city's University Avenue business corridor.[27] Minnesota Governor Tim Walz activated the Minnesota National Guard in response to the riots, which resulted in the largest deployment of its forces since World War II.[28] By early June, violence in the Twin Cities metropolitan region had resulted in at least 2 deaths,[29] 604 arrests, and upwards of $550 million[8] in damage to approximately 1,500 properties, the second-most destructive period of local unrest in United States history, after the 1992 Los Angeles riots.[30][9][31][32]

To suggest that any decent human being in light of these conditions would tweet financial support for those perpetrating these horrors is sheer evil. You are a sick one.

And where did you condemn judges for granting bail? If bail was set then the crime was not serious enough to keep them in jail.

Again, she solicited support for a fund to bail out protesters … not the opportunist common criminals and right-wing provocateurs engaged in the violence you mention

Very few crimes do not have bail set.....and it is usually set for the most heinous crimes. I'm not sure if you are really this dumb or just desperate at this point. Your posts come the deranged recesses of idiotic thinking.

And where did you condemn judges for granting bail?
The judges are constrained by the laws of the left wingers in Minnesota. I swear your final brain cells are fighting to the death. LOL

The fact is Harris tweeted out bail support for terrorists who had devastated a large swath of the twin cities in the hours and days just before her tweet. THAT was the backdrop and context of where her tweet came from. It's evil.......and there is simply nothing more to it.

Hundreds of people were charged with rioting, looting, and arson.....among other violent crimes. Remember, the backdrop is what was going on June 1st when the tweet was made. It was this:

Link to evidence that “hundreds were charged with rioting, looting, and arson”? If the protesters were such a violent bunch, why did the Establishment folks desperate to counter their pro-human-rights narrative and to justify the indiscriminate mass arrests of peaceful dissidents have to bring in so many Boogaloo types and plainclothes police to smash windows and start fires?

You keep repeating the same shit, but feel free to show how many were arrested for minor misdemeanors vs looting or arson. You have yet to do that.

Montez Lee was charged with arson for burning the pawnshop where another rioter was trapped inside. I haven't heard if he'd been charged with murder as well, but he has not been bailed out. Just one example.
