North Carolina judges strike down state’s racist voter ID law

Owning a car and having a drivers license are 2 entirely different things. I have had at least a driver's permit since I was 15 but I bought my first car at 19.

Even just the littlest amount of thought disputes leftist claims of inequity, and yet day after day they push it trying to indoctrinate people into thinking it's true.
But people who don’t own cars are less likely to have a driver’s license (in fact you need to bring one to take the test) and those without them will often have a great deal of trouble going sometimes dozens of miles to the nearest DMV to get a driver’s license or state ID card or to acquire the necessary documentation which may require multiple in-person trips to the town of one’s birth and/or the state capital.

Bottom line: about 9% of Black registered voters and about 4% of white registered voters in N. Carolina don’t have driver’s licenses, and that is one of the data points they took into account when they crafted a voter ID law with the intent of maximizing the number of Blacks deprived of the vote without impacting whites with the wherewithal to resist.

Again, BS. They won't even sell you a car without one. You get your learner's permit in school.

Why do you make this schitt up knowing how off the wall your statements are?

Then all they have to do is apply for a state ID.

So you don’t have to take a car to your driving test?

Fact: if voter ID laws didn’t prevent lawfully registered voters from voting because they were poor, Black, etc., they would be of no value to Republicans.

“All they have to do.” Whether that means taking several days off work, perhaps losing a job, then traveling at great expense to several dispersed cities, then paying onerous fees to get the necessary documentation.

Taking off several days of work to apply for a state ID? You really are that clueless. LOL

Feel free to explain how else voter ID laws might help Republicans win the election which is the stated intent when put politely. It’s definitely NOT preventing the 2 or 3 cases of voter impersonation every year, which are never enough to affect the election results.

Not really. This man visited 7 different institutions in 3 cities, spent $200 out of pocket, and took time off work and was still unable to vote.
Then he is an idiot, State IDs are literally free in most states and in my state they will even send someone too you. This man is either a complete idiot or a lying leftie operative. We have both here.

Voter ID isn't to help "win elections". It's to secure voter integrity and it actually increases voter participation because people feel better voting when they have some confidence that their vote counts. This is another 80%-20% issue that democrats are on the wrong side of.

They are free at the DMV (sometimes miles away from home) with the required documentation (which is not free or always accessible). Try reading the article before speculating about things.

A number of Republican politicians are on record saying the purpose of the law is to give them an electoral advantage. Again, with voter impersonation a 1 in 300 million event, and with voter suppression by far the predominant form of election rigging, voter ID laws (ostensibly) to assure integrity are a solution in search of a problem.

I'm not speculating. I was around when the bill was created. Again, you're being played, as usual.

Again, complete crap. But then we do have Biden admitting that democrats have a great voter fraud network
