Men responsible for abortions?

Nature being what it is, not a whole lot can be done about that.

Still, we are all responsible for our own actions, even if some seek to shun their responsibility.
1. We can surely make it easier to require child support...maybe even require forced sterilization for men who just can't seem to stop making babies.

2. Not only do some shun the responsibility...they get away with it.

"Forced sterilization" sounds rather drastic to me personally....It's something out of 1930's Germany. Are we to cut off the hands of chronic pick-pockets?

I am in favor, however, in the courts forcing the "baby-makers" to accept at least financial responsibility for their half of what they have done. Seems like a fair-minded thing to do.

After four or five kids out of wedlock...yeah, a vasectomy would be appropriate.

If the person consents to it, which is different than the state imposing it.

For me, that's a bridge too far. It is, however, an idea the nazi regime thoroughly embraced:

They did not sterilize men for having too many babies...they did it if the father was the wrong religion...not the same thing, but then you knew that.

This is what happens when you put too much power in the hands of the government.

If you read the article, you'll note that at one point the government started sterilizing people for something other than what they told everyone the intent was. The best way to prevent that from happening is not to give them the power to do it in the first place.

I would say, with the exception of forced rape, it takes two to tango.

Each of us is responsible for our actions, and the consequences.
Except our patriarchal society tends to give men a pass.

You see that in the military.....with reports of sexual assault not addressed.

You see that on college campuses. Trump granted more rights for men accused of sexual assault/rape.

Wouldn't it be cool if we made all young men get vasectomies to be reversed when they marry? Then all they'd have to worry about were STDs.

No, because vasectomies are less invasive than tubal ligations. I rather like the long term birth control for women, IUDs or hormonal implants good for 5 years.

But bottom line, it's time to make men take some responsibility. We're tired of hearing them whine they don't even want to use a condom.

Non-Sequitur.

None of that addresses what I posted:

In the case of two willing participants, both share responsibility.

What can men do to reduce the number of abortions....instead of just putting the onus on women and then wanting to restrict their reproductive rights?
