It’s rather sad. I don’t have grandkids yet at this stage, but when I’m older you can bet that I’ll be hunting and fishing with them, continuing my off-roading/overlanding hobbies, etc. Life’s short.

Will that be possible the more the illiberal deviant-liberals (AKA Democrats) take charge? I think you already commented on their ban of gas stoves. How are you going to cook out with the grandkids while camping? Firewood? Maybe start a forest fire for the weenies? I hear what you're saying. But sometimes you just have to put down a huge stamp of disapproval and hope the late night search engine crawlers register the dissent.

You talked about the "decent folks" not engaging in the fray. That is true. And because of that they don't have the chops to even have chants or call backs that can be charismatic for the cause.... they say stuff like "f. Joe Biden" or the poorly tried and true... "USA, USA, USA"

I go wayyyyy off the grid and then I do what I want. Fish, hunt, target practice, fording rivers with the rig, etc. Fun stuff. I grew up backpacking deep in the woods for weeks at a time. Control freak lefty can’t leave his gaming console and bag of Cheetos long enough to bother me.

Yep - except one of us (who went through his youth unmolested) is capable of acknowledging that folks who “chant” and “march” on both sides are kooks and weaklings.
The other…though… well, like I said - no reciprocity, no self-awareness, no introspection, permanent entrenchment in adolescence. Apparently grabby uncles exact a heavy toll.
