Marjorie Taylor Greene: January 6 insurrection was “just a riot” to “overthrow tyrants”

With “overthrowing tyrants” being justified by the Declaration of Independence.

That’s right sports fans - GOP leaders are going “max deplorable,” seeking to justify the viciously violent seizure of the Capitol building, incited by Trump and his fellow cult leaders, designed to halt the congressional proceedings concerning the counting of the electoral votes. In other words, violent coup attempts are just fine.

Downright surreal.

Prove it was a violent coup attempt. Show the links of the requisite use of guns to accomplish such a political goal.

So violence only involves guns? Not baseball bats, hockey sticks, lengths of pipe, bear spray or tazers?

This has been explained to you a dozen times. No need to try again.

Clearly you're full of crap if you can't produce any links to deep state images of gun toting in the halls of congress. Come back when you can actually prove what you're saying for once.
Was there violence? Did over 100 police officers require medical care? Was the intent to stop the count of electors and the certification of Biden as president?

Greene's comments to Bannon should be condemned by every elected Republican in Washington -- who knows that using the phrase "just a riot" and trying to somehow use the Declaration of Independence to justify the violence that day is idiotic, disrespectful and wrong.
That such condemnation almost certainly won't happen speaks to the current state of the Republican Party.

And that's why my rightwing daily newspaper finally described today's Republicans as intellectually and morally impoverished.
Is that less harsh or harsher than calling them deplorable?

Don't you know the difference between a coup and a protest that got out of hand? I'd say you don't.

Historically the use of force to manage a coup requires guns and ammunition. You got your link ready for the show of use of armed force intent? No link? I thought so. All those security cameras and not a single AR? ha ha Of course even a single AR isn't enough. BTW, coups have to be organized and without at least 40 to 60 guns there is no real organized threat of a coup.

The intent of the riot was to stop a constitutional process to complete the election. If they could have intimidated congress into delaying the count or rejecting electors from the battleground states then they could have replaced electors with Trump electors, resulting in the legally elected president from taking office....that would have been the very definition of a coup.

Where did you get your 40 to 60 guns required? The mob was violent and armed.

clearly you are full of crap if you cannot provide any links to any requirement for guns to be necessary for a coup to happen.

Funny thing...Marjorie Taylor Greene says it was a riot to overthrow tyrants....

Doesn't that mean she also thinks it was an attempted coup?
