Will Aubrey get justice?

Aubrey could see the truck and the McMicheals from a distance far enough away that he could not have been shot by them, if he had any reason to think they were going to shoot him. Travis had a shotgun which sprays pellets at long range, and doesnt have accuracy that way. I own a 12 gauge shotgun myself. It is a close range, home defense type weapon, Rifles are for longer range targets.

McMicheal did not try to block Aubrey's path. As I already stated (and the video shows). Aubrey could have kept jogging past the truck, or gone to the right. He had no need to jog toward the truck in the first place.

Correct. They were not conducting a citizens arrest , or doing anything. Aubrey is who initiated the conflict and contact.

No they did NOT shoot and kill an innocent man. Aubrey was in the act of committing a violent Crime of assault & battery, mind he was shot in self-defense, video clearly shows. McMicheals are being charged under the black privilege obscenity of blaming white persons, to avoid black riots. Nothing new here.
WTF are you talking about...Aubrey was jogging. McMichaels and his son drove up from behind and tried to cut him off several times....that should have constituted reckless driving.

McMichael says Aubrey "looked like" a suspect in several breakins in the neighborhood...except that the police say there had not been any reported breakins in the previous two months.

McMichael shot Aubrey three times with a shotgun...after chasing him down. Georgia's law says you may arrest someone if they see a crime.

“A private person may arrest an offender if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge.”

McMichael saw no such crime. Confronting Aubrey with a shotgun and never saying anything at all about a citizen's arrest which is certainly a matter of brandishing a weapon and threatening an innocent man who then tried to defend himself and was killed can only be seen as murder....and since this was not a "heat of the moment" attack on Aubrey...it is murder in the first degree.

CRT is about showing Whites as evil, and there is no such thing as "white privilege". There is however lots of black privilege still out & about.

1. Affirmative Action
2. CRT
3. Biden's American Rescue Plan
4. Blacks Crime being ignored, to avoid rioting - and white cops being falsely charged to appease black mobs. (ex. Betty Shelby, Yanez Jeronimo, Derek Chauvin, Michael Slager)
1. The largest beneficiaries of Affirmative Action are White Women.

2. CRT is a theory that is only actually taught in law school.

3. White Privilege is believing you have to right to take the govt by for from everyone else because you believe the White Race is entitled to rule over the others without question.

4. What a sick thing to say. You saw a man torture murdered to death on video and here you are saying his convicted murderer was falsely accused.

Wow...Betty Shelby stopped because a car was stopped on a country road...the driver was outside of the car and walking around...nobody has said what he was doing, if he was on the phone, upset because of an argument....but she pulled her weapon out and shot the guy. Why? Much later she says he smelled of PCP, but not when talking to the investigating officer on the scene. He didn't have a gun on him or in the car.

Slager shot and killed a man running away from him after a traffic stop. He lied about the incident and planted his tazer next to Scott's body. He'd have gotten away with it if someone hadn't filmed it.

Chavin kneeled on a man's neck, refused the help of an emt and stayed there for 9 minutes...resulting in the death of a man. He filed a false report and would have gotten away with it if not for people videoing the incident.

Nobody is ignoring crimes except for those who think cops are above the law.

This is a perfect illustration of liberal cluelessness when it comes to guns & law enforcement. Here is your tutoring session. Read slowly >>

1. Betty Shelby was improperly arrested for first-degree manslaughter after the shooting was politically labeled a homicide. "politically" becasue the loudmouth idiots of BLM and the ACLU threatened protests (possibly rioting).
What actually happened was Crutcher (like everyone else undereducated in America's schools run by clueless liberals), having no idea how to act in confrontation with police (not taught in our schools), made the HUGE mistake of putting his hand inside the SUV window, thereby allowing it to disappear from the officer's view.
This will always cause the suspect to be immediately shot, as standard police academy training is to shoot whenever hand(s) disappear from view. This is because it takes a suspect 1/4 second to fire a gun from the previously hidden hand. The officer has no time to react. Thus, only defense is to fire, when the hand disappears.
This is the cause of many police shootings (Jacob Blake, Laquan McDonald, Yanez Jeronimo, Philip Brailsford, & hundreds more)
I also received this training in the National Guard.

2. Didn't matter that someone filmed the Slager/Scott shooting. All the video did was show that Slager did the correct thing, shooting Scott, as the Fleeing Felon Rule, requires cops to shoot fleeing felons to prevent them from escaping out into the community, where they could cause harm.
Only reason Slager was charged and convicted, is because N. Charleston is a black majority community, and those charging him were concerned with VOTES, not justice (same as the Arbery case in which Brunswick, GA is 60% black, 32% white.

3. FALSE! There is no video showing Chauvin to be kneeling on Floyd's neck. Video shows Chauvin's knee on Floyd's HEAD. I don't know what you consider to be false in Chauvin's report, and I suspect you don't know either.
The arrest never had a compression on Floyd's neck, and never had any asphyxiation.
The Hennepin County’s chief medical examiner, Dr. Andrew Baker was INTIMIDATED AND COERCED into including neck compression in his diagnosis of Floyd’s death.
The exhibit in question is a three-page file memorandum that memorializes a November 5, 2020 conference between Dr. Roger Mitchell, former Washington D.C. chief medical examiner and deputy mayor of Washington, and several prosecutors from both Hennepin County and the state attorney general’s office.
The result was a false report.

The number of white women benefitting from Affirmative Action is a drop in the bucket compared to the number of white women discriminated against by AA (as occured in my graduate school when only blacks were given assistantships)
Secondly, the number of white women benefitting from Affirmative Action, is a drop in the bucket compared to the number of white women discriminated against by AA , by virtue of being the wives, daughters, mothers of white men discriminated against by AA.
I have refuted this silly white women talking point 1000 times for 20 years.

2. HA. Another lie talking point. That was shot to hell when thousands of parents showed up at school board meetings, having seen CRT on their children's (as young as elementary school age) computers, at home, when the pandemic sent lessons to people's HOMES, instead of being kept concealed in the classroom.

3. Can't quite make out exactly what you said amidst atrocious grammar, but there is no such thing as white privilege. There is lots of black privilege around, some old, some new, but both designating blacks s the beneficiaries, and whites as the victims.
1. Affirmative Action
2. CRT
3. Biden's American Rescue Plan
4. Blacks Crime being ignored, to avoid rioting - and white cops being falsely charged to appease black mobs. (ex. Betty Shelby, Yanez Jeronimo, Derek Chauvin, Michael Slager)

4. If the "man torture murdered to death on video" you refer to is George Floyd, you are mistaken. Derek Chauvin did not cause the death of George Floyd. The explanation of this is in # 3 of Post # 64.

Very simple what I'm talking about -and I've told it to your thick skull, a few times already , and so did the video. Once AGAIN, Arbery charged at McMichael, punched him repeatedly, and got his violent criminal ass shot to hell, in self-defense.

Then, Brunswick prosecutors, caring only about votes & rioting, convicted the McMicheals, in a town that is 60% black & 32% white.

EARTH TO DELUDED LIBERALS: There is no better proof of anything than THOUSANDS of parents, all or the country, who saw CRT on their kids computers, in their own homes. Sheesh. Talking to liberals is like talking to monkeys.

Perhaps it could be if we normal, decent, well-adjusted parents would just roll over and allow you marxist bigots to damage our kids. Fortunately the left overplayed its deconstructionist hand once again and stirred up a massive hornets’ nest in targeting our children - one of the two only buttons you cannot push without massive reprisals from the decent.

So… we will purge the contamination that is CRT from our public schools. Our kids will be taught from properly balanced curricula that acknowledges accurate history - warts and all - sans the cockeyed lefty race-baiting and psyche-damaging agenda.

That said, this trial will be an interesting one to watch. As rational, decent American, I’ll observe and consider the facts of the case and make assessments only when those are fully in view. No hopping on trendy leftist bandwagons and projecting speculative, pre-judged evils for me.

:)
You're so righteous! I bow to you.....

Stupid cartoons like this cheapen the debate, but are probably commensurate with lefty bandwidth and attention span.

CRT is not “teaching kids an accurate history of race in America”. It instead intentionally instills selective shame, guilt, and loathing to children - and radically distorts all understanding across myriad subjects.

As for “smearing parents” - that was your braindead meme showing 50’s/60’s era segregation pics in the context of discussing parental involvement in school board meetings.

You leftists and your constant dishonesty! It never ends. You can’t EVER stand on the merits of your own offerings and try to blend and change what was posted. Lay off all the illicit substances and maybe some of you guys could manage to follow at least YOUR OWN posts.
We're clear.

You don't want to teach white kids the history of racism because it'll somehow warp their fragile minds and interfere with the right wing fascist indoctrination.

I've read and seen the story.

Has your story included the # 1 racism in America?.. discriminating against, by far, the largest number of people (whites), ie. Affirmative Action, for 57 years now, and having destroyed the lives of millions of people.

Has it included Biden's racist American Rescue Plan ?...likewise discriminating against whites, but thankfully being shredded in the courts for its obvious racism.

Calm down, Karen. No need to post bs just because you're a little excited.

Biden was a right wing racist before he wasn't.

Right?

The video shows part of the incident...but that is enough for a person with a limited attention span to convince himself that Arbery was the aggressor. You don't see them following him, swerving into him to cut off his path and force him off the road. It is beyond your ability to process their own testimony to realize what they did was illegal.

GUILTY of 9 counts...Travis will get life in jail.

LOL! You've "researched" it have you? By what - reading the Atlanic and watching MSNBC?

Despite media denial, Detroit schools superintendent says they teach CRT | Michigan | thecentersquare.com
This is from the Center Square source.

CRT has quickly become a catchall term used by some conservative lawmakers and activists to describe various state and local efforts to create equity policies or diverse curriculums in K-12 schools.

Port Huron Republican Andrew Beeler, a lead sponsor of the House bill, recently said he was careful not to invoke the term “critical race theory” in his proposed legislation as other conservatives across the country have used to condemn curricula they deem too liberal.

“The reason I don’t use that language in this bill is because it means too many different things to too many different people,” Beeler said.

The real problem is the use of "Critical Race Theory" in describing everything and anything having to do with race. Tell me what are they teaching in Detroit that offends you?

CRT is a college level set of curriculum typically taught at law schools and has to do with discussing the legal framework for Jim Crow laws and legislation that allowed red lining or home ownership prohibitions that kept blacks out, kept black farmers from getting credit from federal agencies and kept blacks from integrating schools and business.

Vitti reiterated that the district embraces the basic tenets of CRT as part of its 2020 anti-racism resolution to reexamine district-wide policies and curriculum and encourage students and teachers to critically analyze dominant historical narratives and question institutions of power.

"Basic Tenets"? What, exactly, does that mean to you? Clearly not what it means to me.

Affirmative action means that there is still discrimination favoring whites, just not quite as much as there had been prior.

If police are taught to shoot first and ask questions later, all that means is that the brutality is systematic and planned at the organizational level. Chauvin was clearly kneeling on Floyd’s neck in the video, as pointed out by several in the crowd.

What is so difficult about that for you to understand? CRT is the theory that all of the problems encountered by African Americans are the result of innate racism that all whites have, and has resulted in legal, political and business frameworks that limit their progress.

The fact of the matter is that Blacks who were born elsewhere and then immigrated here in the past 40 or 50 years have succeeded at rates that rival that of whites. So does the system only discriminate against the descendants of American slaves? Or are they just using some bullshit "theory" as an excuse to demand everything while offering little in return?

Nope, that is neither close at all to what CRT says, nor a thesis that is taught in any schools. Blacks are only allowed to immigrate if they are already wealthy and educated, so the effects of race discrimination don’t hold them back from opportunities to the extent they do for working-class Blacks born here.
