So now that you've finally acknowledged that supply and demand are the greatest driver of prices we can finally discuss why supply is low.

You think it's wise to actively inhibit leasing and drilling while production is low? That caused the current energy crisis.
do you have a clue how long it takes from the day the lease is granted to actually producing?

But it's artificial.
American oil corporations already have leases for more oil than they could sell as it is.
They gouge, and you folks want to keep it that way.
The Sun Wind, Moon and the Earth all provide a steady unlimited and free source of energy. It's never in short supply and no one has control over that supply.
Plus, what we are doing now is destroying the planet.

Why do we have a supply problem?....Only because the oil companies have limited production on wells they already have.
Once again, the oil companies are the same people as a year ago. Prices are driven by supply/demand. Supply is low because the goof in the WH declared war on fossil fuels. It's the reason energy prices, not just oil, are through the roof. You can't have it both ways. Aggressively implement policies to inhibit production while at the same time declaring supply issues as not your fault. Retarded.

nothing Biden has done has had an impact on current production. Demand was low in 2020 and production decreased because of it.

Supply issues are related to oil producers ramping production back up again...and why would they? This is a way to maximize their profits.

You're so embarrassingly FOS. I suppose Biden singularly runs OPEC now, eh?

Wait. So opec makes up any old price to make Biden look like a tool and it has nothing to do with supply/demand? Talk about embarrassingly fos.
Are you really so uninformed that you do not understand OPEC's influence over prices? You don't know that they limit production through quotas?

We hit nearly 13 million barrels per day in November 2019. That dropped to 10.8 by June...what did Trump do to force producers to cut their oil production....isn't that the logic you are using against Biden?

PS...we are now at 11.5. In Oct 2008, when the Bush Recession was running the economy into the ground...the prodcution numbers were around 5 million barrels per day.

I must edit post #26
It will be 3rd time taxpayers will have to pay for the 50M barrels

When it was bought for reserves
When released to gas stations
When bought to replace the 50M at reserve
