My company hired a lot of entry level recently for $25 an hour. Of course those $15 an hour jobs wouldn’t be able to find employees. Even with the bonuses it will be less over time.when over 4million+ quite their jobs

Many refugees and undocumented immigrants do speak English. Many others speak Spanish which is the primary language used in large agricultural labor and construction and a major language in meatpacking and sanitation. Unemployment is 3.1%. It was 6.3% when Biden took office, 4.7% when Trump took office, and 4.4% when the pandemic restrictions began. The last time unemployment in the U.S. was this low was in 1953 when Eisenhower was in office.

Those jobs don’t pay very well. I came into the office to pick up my new work laptop and the kid they hired to set it up used to be a line cook. Now he’s starting at a bottom tier IT job that pays $29 an hour. Shocker that people move to jobs that pay better.
For those roles we have pretty high retention rates. As for other roles, it’s expected that they leave after 2-5 years if they don’t get a promotion
Which has nothing to do with the measly unemployment money that Reason10 covets so much.
