Not so when parents are scrambling to find baby formula amid a shortage that’s growing into a full-blown crisis. Retailers across the country are reporting about 40% of their baby formula is out of stock, due to supply chain issues and a recent recall of certain products.

A growing number of parents are buying European formulas, even though it’s technically illegal to import them to the US. Technically illegal? Seems our government is more than a little bit dysfunctional.

There’d of course be no formula shortage if 45 were in office. But pretending there was: he’d have instantly issued EO, brought formula CEOs to Oval Office for public mtg, held Cab Mtg to break all logjams, told FDA head fix or be fired, made all staff work overtime till SOLVED.

Yep, he would have it all worked out on the golf course where he spent most of his time in office. After all he was a self proclaimed stable genius. Lol

Baby formula purity is a huge concern.

Sounds like Trump would have made a huge spectacle of doing nothing.

Down in @Dawg's neck of the woods they'd rub moonshine onto babies gums. All of this sounds bizzare but it apprently worked for many generations of kids.

In fact if you are one of those that think that kids have all gone to hell these days then maybe you think it might be a good idea to go back to the old days when pregnant moms smoked and drank and mom's sedated their babies with opiates.

alcohol on the gums is as old as old can be as far as remedies go. but opium.. nah.

new days moms smoke crack and drink hard lemonade and throw their babies out with the trash

What would the EO say ?

What is it exactly that CEOs would do under his instruction that you think they aren't doing now ?

How would they break these log jams, and why would there be log jams in the first place, since he was in charge before they started anyway ?

He left work around 4pm every day and his last hours were "Executive time", which is just another way of saying tweeting and watching Fox News with his fast food meal.

He wouldn't even be there to tell them to work overtime.

I'm happy that most of the folks who were experts in supply chain logistics, election law, pandemics, and women's sports are now lending their expertise to baby formula.

Look for a lot more right-wingers to start pretending the U.S. has been “socialist” now since Obama’s time (or Carter’s or whatever). Just like when Venezuelan capitalism started down the same path.

The FDA has given the green light to the Abbott plant to resume supplying their baby formula.

FDA OKs Release of Baby Formula From Closed Michigan Plant Linked to Recall – NBC New York. Good news for new parents for sure.

On the other hand It was shut down earlier this year after three brands of powdered baby formula made at the plant were recalled because of potential bacterial infections. Potential means there was no solid evidence to begin with.

Very similar to the two year Covid flip flopping.

Laudunam, a concoction made of opium mixed with alcohol was widely used as a household remedy for years in Great Britain and the US. Laudunam could be purchased over the counter at any drugstore in America until the idiotic war on drugs commenced.
