Shouldn’t wingers be thanking Biden for our low gas prices?

I never asked for your potential solutions did I?
Not really, just what I would do, like driving less and spending less, growing my own food and such, but I am not Biden.

I did ask you to come up with solutions to the litany of complaints you posited against Biden, you replied that you owe me nothing, and I am fine with that.

That said, my criticisms of you stand firm.

It’s not “cheerleading” to ask for proposed solutions. Indeed, in the absence of solutions, or at least some explanation as to how/why Biden caused something negative, it’s just irrational bitching to carp about such things.
Fair enough - Biden's continued stimulus payouts last year along with the utterly stupid loan forgiveness for people stupid enough to pay money to attend for-profit Corinthian Universities added to inflationary pressures. Biden's inability to corral pissant senators like Manchin ans Sinema show his weakness. He held NO ONE responsible for the screw ups whn we withdrew from Afghanistan although I give him big props for finally getting us out of there. In spite of the SC decision being leaked in MAY Biden had NO PLAN and still has NO PLAN . He failed to see the obvious consequences to the stock market due to the supply chain issues and came in far too late to the party in raising interest rates. He's still not done a damn thing about De Joy at the post office in spite of being in office for a year and a half. Remember how Biden stupidly believed he could work with the republicans? How fvcking stupid was that?

We get nothing but excuses so far. Govern effectively or you will be replaced.

You know my history. I hit Trump harder than anyone here because he deserved it. Biden has been a failure so far. At 79 I don't think he's up to the task. And it's hurting the country.

Weather sucks today...Biden is incompetent....Right?

So while you suggest that everyone should just follow the opinions of the majority...I prefer to think for myself. I was around when we had a government attempt to control inflation using price controls. It was a miserable failure.

I've never seen a president able to control the price of gas, either. The oil companies have jacked up prices and eventually that will hurt them as well as everyone else. People will drive less. People will buy more efficient cars. We have been the victims of oil companies in the past. I can't wait to be able to buy an electric car and not buy gas.

So in other words as I said originally - High Gas prices - "There is very little I can do about it".

In the mean time Biden has a 39% approval rate - which by the way is even LOWER than Trump's approval at this point in his presidency.

Most of that relates to messaging, and I certainly agree that Biden and the Dems are awful at messaging. Nothing new there.

I’m not sure what you expected him to do about the abortion decision. The SCOTUS wingers took it upon themselves to remove that right, and there’s nothing a president can do to change that.

Interest rates? The Fed controls them. Not the president.

I’m sure not wild about Biden. He’s uninspiring. We would, but for the illegal Kremlin/Trump interference in the 2016 election, be in the second Hillary Clinton term right now. I think she would have been a much more effective president than Biden. But here we are. It’s Biden.

We are suffering from the after-effects of Covid and the global chaos brought about by Putin’s invasion. The GOP offers nothing but sabotage, especially by paralyzing the Senate. Lotsa bad news, no doubt, but most of our current problems just don’t have identifiable solutions.

It should not be acceptable to just be less bad than Trump. Biden owes the country the leadership he promised - not a bunch of excuses.

In other words you agree with my post:

High Gas prices - "There is very little I can do about it".

Inflation - "There is very little I can do about it".

The stock market crash - "There is very little I can do about it".

Not removing De Joy from the Postmaster position - "There is very little I can do about it".

Not passing his Climate agenda - "There is very little I can do about it".

Not passing his Build Back Better agenda - "There is very little I can do about it".

Roe v Wade overturned by fascist Supreme Court - "There is very little I can do about it".

Not being able to work across the aisle as he promised he could - "There is very little I can do about it".

Again, just carping doesn’t do the trick in my book. To rationally blame something on Biden one must specify why it’s his fault, and assert there is a solution he’s not pursuing. I noted above why the carping as to certain issues is just not rational.

He literally rejected a refinery's application to expand mere months ago. LOL!

We elect Presidents to lead the country. Leadership does not consist of saying - "There is very little I can do about it" which is about Biden's par for the course. If you think that the man has done a good job you are entitled to your opinion. I don't. In my opinion his performance has been pitiful. Even today it comes out that far from fighting for abortion rights Joe Biden was actually poised to nominate an anti-abortion judge to a lifetime position. The only reason this fool didn't was bencause someone in the White hOuse told him how bad it would look. Biden is doing to the Democrats what Jimmy Carter did a generation ago. And you seem to be OK with it. I bet you think it wasn't Jimmy Carter's fault either.

As I said above, I am NOT thrilled with Biden. He is uninspiring. But that’s not to say I believe he caused our current problems, or that there are solutions he is not pursuing. I’m not “OK” with our problems. I just don’t think Biden is declining to pursue available solutions. It’s therefore irrational to blame him for those problems. Some people still do it, I know. I am not one of them.

Ah, that explains the global oil shortage.

You are shameless - I’ll give you that. You will say anything for your GOP cult. Anything.
You are a [Unwelcome language removed] baby who cannot defend your positions so you say sh*t like that when you are definitively exposed as the putrid pissant partisan propagandist that you so obviously are.

So to you it is acceptable to not solve these problems? You think he's done enough?

He is not to BLAME for these problems (at least not most of them) but he is RESPONSIBLE for finding solutions. So far he has failed miserably at this. Don't create a straw man argument that I am BLAMING Biden for the existence of these problems. ALL of my criticism is directed at him for NOT fixing them or for allowing the problems to grow until they became unmanageable.

There is no way that some action should not have been taken one DAY ONE after the SC overturned Roe v Wade. That decision leaked in MAY for God's sake? What has Biden done? He's studying the problem. Pathetic.

The baby formula shortage crisis? Biden sent out a team in FEBRUARY and apparently didn't realize the severity of the problems for MONTHS. That's incompetence pure and simple.

He's more than uninspiring. It would appear that he is in over his head and is providing ZERO leadership. America would be better off if he packed up his bags and resigned and gave a younger, stronger, more capable person like Kamala Harris a chance to do better. Either that or down some mega-geritol and start solving the problems of this country rather than blathering on about how bad Trump was (which is what his advisors sent hime out to do today). We all know what kind of a disgusting POS Trump was and Is - it doesn't excuse Biden's performance.

And you think that giving him CREDIT for $4.79/gallon gas is a compliment? That's pretty weak tea.

You say that as if you respond to what people say. Of course, you don’t. Exhibit A would be that laughable non sequitur I ridiculed above.

OK, now you can go back to blaming Biden for the global oil prices

You’re back to the same complaints. I addressed them already. For example, there is no possible “Biden response” to the SCOTUS 6 opinion taking away the constitutional right to an abortion. It’s gone. Period. Biden cannot restore it. Criticizing him for not doing the impossible is irrational.

Rational people draw a distinction between things that are within a president’s control, and those that are not within his control.

P.S. I don’t give him “credit” for gas prices. I was ridiculing wingers. Biden cannot control gas prices.

Of course it is possible to pass a law making abortion legal in the USA. Biden hasn't even tried. It's like everything else with him - "There is very little I can do about it".

That's not leadership. Leadership is moving the country forward not making excuses. Demand Better.

Where in the "Constitution" does it say the women have the "right to an abortion" ?
Answer: Nowhere.

Where does it say killing people is illegal ?
Answer: In the laws of every state in America.
