Trump signed a surrender with the Taliban in Jan 2020. That agreement specified a date certain when US troops would withdraw and, in fact, Trump pulled thousands of troops out. There were only 2,500 US troops left in 2021. At the same time Trump did not make any arrangements for US civilians or Afghan allies to get out. Trump ended support for Afghan army troops and guaranteed that US troops would not fire on the Taliban...even while they killed 3,000 afghan troops. At the same time Trump saw to it that 5,000 Taliban prisoners were released.
So only Biden was to blame?
